Is that the only possible solution you can think of?
Well, they make black #22 only
and you suggest to use blue sponge on both sides
so that is black on both sides...

I'm glad you don't feed advise to any table tennis team out there

They can request dhs make it in red for specific players. Thats what they do already.

They even make special rubbers totally unavailable to the public. Sriver on bryce sponge etc. they can do anything.

Youre the one who provided entire list of custom ordered pro rubbers.

Anyway, im not asking the politics of this issue. Im asking the TT performance issue, would bs perform well for cnt players on bh? Why havent many done it?

well, you make it sound like that no body on this planet has thought of BS for backhand side.
but you not special and that same question was asked years ago, the answer is orange for BH is ideal, so please stop asking outdated questions or suggest BS on both sides (because you don't really understand #22 and #20, but just reading and typing what comes out in the post aboves)
the proper brains went for the new 37 orange sponge if you haven't figured it out yet.
now, you better go EJ mode and get them to try feel it

Thanks for all the responses and I have two more questions.

From what I've understood so far, it's much better to just buy the blue sponge and learn it. Even though I'll not boost it, it'll break in and play good.

- Should I buy the neo, or the classic, what's their difference as of 2023, I guess the tackiness is the same. So do they have different feeling?

- And the throw angle guys, is there any difference between the throw angle of the orange and blue sponge?

Thanks again!

You can try BS unboosted, but I give you fair warning you may find it slow. A lot of people say that after trying it.

Are you at least 1800 with a big loop? If not, i recommend boosting it.

I concur. BS without boosting is pretty dead slow. If you insist without boosting, I would buy Neo H3 39 BS so it’s a bit easier on your learning curve

Yeah, I want a dead slow rubber because I rely on countering and blocking. I like the predictibility of the h3 and want something just a touch better, regarding quality and playing characteristics.

Is the neo better than classic to buy?

Neo has a thin layer of booster on it. It’s supposed to last a month or two.

I'll just buy what's available then. But I think the neo has a more elastic sponge too, on top of the factory tuning. Maybe that's why it feels a bit different.

If anyone wants to know a bit more about hurricane rubbers, here is an inside look from a Chinese player, just found it and thought that it's interesting.

Thanks for link.

"Blue ones have better performance on looping and spin, and much more tricky throw. Orange ones have better speed and longer lifetime. To tell the truth, the differences between #20 and #22 are not so big, both of them are traditional FH rubbers, blue ones are a little bit more traditional (I guess in western players' eyes :D)."

Truth

Based on the info from videos of Gan Brother from YT he mentioned, that differences whether OS will be better than BS depends on your style and blade. I think he is a very heavy user of H3 rubbers (and his skills are far better than me or others here with respect) and for me something told between the lines is much valuable. I.e. in video with Joola Freeze HRD he mentioned that he prefers plays with OS on FH but with this hard blade he couldn't handle it and changed to BS due to more dwell time and time to adjust hitting the ball. OS sponge has "more catapult" and reacts quicker than BS.
Of course this is based on his opinions not mine, as I'm newbie in H3 area and i'm going to catch up and order couple on them, but before I do and start using it all such information is very valuable to me to not be surprised, and somehow knows what should expect.
and the video I mentioned about:

Yes i agree OS feels faster. But BS has great hold on ball
but then you say, commericial H3 is the same as national blue sponge H3
Now you have "feels" faster, and the "great hold" on ball
so why doesn't OS have great hold on the ball, and why isn't blue sponge "feel" faster?

How much time does breaking the bs take?
I didn't check TT11 video
but if you boost, you are breaking in the sponge already.

most semi pros are able to adapt with few minutes of hitting.
at most, 1 to 2 hours of training (half a session)

obviously, if you can't hit as hard or powerful (and consistent in terms of "hits per min"), I would say it should be good (after boosting) within a day or two or training

That’s right, but the sponge gets softer and the topsheet becomes less tacky, right? How much time does that take?
People don't want the tack any more, so for a while now, H3 tack is good to use after just warming it up.

Before, when the tack was stronger, one would want to have it 3 to 5 days before a tournament.
Now, you can change 1 day prior, it is okay
The QC has improved too

It is actually very common to glue 1 day prior to tournaments now (or 2 day - depending when you arrive)
since for pros, some rubbers only last 1 week (during competition play)

you the 15 year old guy then?
I can handle opinion but michael zhang loves to insult when he run out of facts to talk
at most, he is a confused EJ, you really want his opinion on the sponges?? - since he says they are the same thing.....and impossible to tell them apart with a "blind test"
That was the joke of the century on TTD

Even you know that commericial #20 and national #22 is way way way difference, hence you are asking your questions.
Everyone has different opinions, plus I'm about to spend 80€ on a freaking rubber because inflation and import taxes.

So either comment on your experiences, engage in conversations, exchange opinions and act like adults. Or don't waste your time here because I'm not looking for facts, I'm looking for personal experiences.

If you have any and are willing to share, be my guest. Don't throw more oil to the fire by feeding into their crap, because you're also acting like a 15yo. Ignore him or correct him, and move on. Attacking him is elementary activities, not for grown adults, hence why I shut up on the other sub and haven't engaged with anyone here other to say thank you and ask more questions.

Am I wrong? I don't think so.

why you so lazy man
go search

When you give me proof of your claims that DHS makes hurricane 3 rubbers that are not really hurricane 3 rubbers for the pros - then maybe I will take you serious

I still remember when someone asked a DHS staff about a purple sponge DHS rubber he saw
The DHS staff replied - you gotta show me, so I can learn something today, I haven't seen one in the office.
