Every time I play I actively sweat a lot, especially my hands. I noticed the issue is my rubbers usually wear out quicker than expected so now I can't serve with my hands on the rubber, only in shake hand position. Any tips with dealing with this? Thanks.
I had the same issue when I played Cpen. I taped a piece of friction tape, the type you put on the edge of stairs, to the back where my index middle and ring fingers would rest. I also taped a piece in the front where my thumb and index fingers grip, then a 3rd piece in the back where my thenar would touch. Basically everywhere that my hand contacts, I had a piece of that tape.

Today I tried these gloves in practice and they make a tremendous difference. There is absolutely no slippage. Serves are much easier to do as is every single aspect of the game. Get the racketball gloves for $19.99:

actually I struggle with this problem A LOT, but I was afraid the gloves would negatively impact the feeling I get when hitting the ball. You didn't feel any difference ? Those gloves seem very bulky, so I think they would make huge difference

im sweating a lot as well

its a problem but it also has some advantages:
i can show the wet rubber to the referee and take time between points to take the sweat off with the towel. Use that time to recoup some energy, pump myself up and think about what to do next point.

If you have the problem bad, most gels are useless. There are gels doctors can prescribe that have tons of aluminum in them and probably aren't good for you considering connections between aluminum and neurological issues.
Playing with the glove is like night and day. No slippage. I can serve at full strength without the fear of my racket flying out of my hand. My wrist was also easier to control on the backhand because I didn't have to worry about my racket slipping out of my fingers and flying across the playing hall. I would give the glove a try. For me, wiping my hands is pointless as 1 second later they are soaked again. I have tried gels and powders to no avail. I didn't want to get surgery because there could be complications, but so far this glove works wonders.

Hmm, I sweat a ton too, services can be bad when that happens. It's not as big of a deal for SH as I can just wipe my hand on the table and then serve, but it was a major issue when I played Cpen. I used to tape a high friction tape to the back of my Cpen blade where my fingers would rest, the type of tape they'd put on the edge of stair steps so people don't slip.

does this not rub your skin raw ???
No, not even a callous. The thing is, it would really only rub your skin raw if you, well, rub against it. The point of the tape is for the friction to be so high that your finger won't move against it, and it works so well that my finger never really moves against it.

Palms are getting sweaty because most probably you hold the racket too tight.
Try relaxing your grip and you won't have this problem again.

The problem is so bad with some people, even watching table tennis on TV will cause their palms to sweat like a torrential downpour. If someone's hands are wet with no racket in their hand, how can they hold the racket even looser? If I held my racket looser, I would kill at least 3 people at practice everyday because my racket would be constantly flying out of my hand. If you have extremely mild sweating issues, perhaps a looser grip would help. If you have full blown hyperhidrosis, a looser grip is a recipe for disaster.

Α looser grip is a must in all cases so that your strokes are smooth and spinny. Ιf you hold the racket too tight then your whole arm is stiffer and the strokes become slower and with less spin.

If we assume that the problem of the OP is hyperhidrosis, I guess putting grip tape on the handle would help. Personally, I hate it but I've seen a lot of players who use it.

For me the main problem with the sweat is that my shirt gets soaked quickly and if my bat contacts the shirt while I serve for example or during a rally the rubber gets wet and the ball would fall off the racket or if I’m lucky produce a very odd ball for the opponent. No real solution other than bringing extra shirts

I’m also using HALO headband which are radically better than any traditional headband it’s really absorbing all the sweat up there and preventing it to get into my eyes. Plus it’s cool to wear

any problems from blades (wet over time)?

For me, the handle can feel different during a training session because of the excess water thus effecting the way I hold my racket which causes all kinds of problems. I am not sure if my hands are swelling or the blade is so wet the handle is changing shape slightly. The racket would just sit in my hand differently and I would have to make all kinds of crazy adjustments. Be very happy if you do not have this problem. Water and carbon also do not mix, so I have to change my blade at least once a year or it will feel very dead.

the solution is called butterfly overgrip.
had stiga grip tape before but it became garbage after two trainings.
bty lasts at least half a year with many sessions per week.

I tried many grips, from table tennis brands and badminton too, the best for me is bycicle handlebar grip tape. is super thick and absorbs a lot, its made completely out of foam, so i doesn't peel off. At first it was awkward because the thickness makes you grip the blade with a more relaxed fist which turn out to be a blessing in disguise, i cant change now :)

Approximately how much weight does this add? (Bty grip tape adds ~5 g)…

Cheers
