I got all 3 types, handshake, c-pen and a Nittaku excellent j-pen also 9mm. I have Rakza7 on the j-pen and it’s a rocket. I woulk like something slower on the others. Chinese untacky is fine I guess, and I like it thin to get the best feel for the wood. I need rubbers on both sides even on the j-pen…

Cheers

You could try something like 729 - Aurora Max. Untacky. Only available in one thickness though.
Pimplepark - Bloxx is tacky, very Chinese like and made in 1.4/1.7/1.9/2.1mm.
Yinhe - Mercury II, Soft. Tacky. Also in one thickness, but more slowish.
Pimplepark - Epos is tacky and really soft, and in 1.0/1.4/1.7/1.9mm, so you can easily hit through it.
A new one I've tried is Pimplepark - Attaxx Speed. It's not a speed demon, but kind of like a untacky hybrid between Raxza 7 and Chinese rubbers. Good control and grip. Moderate speed. Made in 1.9/2.1/MAX.

Hmm Pimplepark Epps in 1.0 or 1.4 maybe worth looking into. If not Mark V in 1.0 or 1.5 will do.

well the Geospin i have played one a few sessions, but i clubmate of mine loves it (And Stiga Neos Tacky),and when i first saw this kind of tack,i told him jokingly he should use the Speedglue on the blade and sponge not the other way around, lol.
I paused TT for a long time but was not bad in my youth, played Landesliga and was s Bavarion champ, then got to south german then german national championship.
But that was in the 90s,then came maturity or Sex,Drugs and Rock´n roll and i paused almost for 25 years, started again when corona hit the world, during corona lol.
SO it was a Tough time for all of us,and then you think about mortality and what you love and then TT came back into my life,i love the sport still.
sry for making a whole book about me in your question, but i have never played much equipment that a lot of you guys played during my break.
So i can´t really tell if its as viable, but it is cheap and he said its still as tacky and cheap.
I myself have as funny as it sounds problems with sticky rubbers, cause i mess up my dwelltime and release. But i know the feeleing if you hit the ball as Heavy TS or SIdetopspin,nd boy you get lots of spin with it,
But i was more of a Powerspinplayer with more forward motion and good rotation but precision and speed was more important for me,well i will upload a friendly match soon against an Old ANti Player ,then we can get tpps or the usual you are old now play accordingly, lol.

He also Swears by the Stiga Neos Tacky!!,and hast at least 50 of them at home new,so he can play it till the end of time.Maybe this is also a rubber you might like if you can get your hands on via ebay or old stocks.
Oh man,sry @Lazer for derailing.
"i will upload a friendly match soon against an Old ANti Player"

No worries about derailing, I’m just ranting anyway.

The type of blade is not good for a spinny game so I’m looking at a fairly slow and non spinny rubber. I think I found it.

Neottec hinomi-M 1.5mm
Something in long pimples on the other side, but not to extreme.

Cheers

hinoki not good for spinning? i personally really enjoy the dwell time and touch that hinoki gives me
id also like to ask why you would use such thin rubbers on the jpen
do you just not have good feeling? or preference?

It has to do with the fact it is a 1-ply, with tons of speed. The thin rubber is due to the fact that want to retain the feel of a 1-ply Hinoki blade. If read read this thread you would have understood…

A 1-ply hinoki blade doesn’t yield a lot of dwell it’s waaaay to fast for this…

I have plenty of other blades for spin purposes. What I want with this is to visit the old times when speed and block was number 1…

I recall an old coach once told me; us amateur only need push, block and drive skill. Leave the bananas, strawberry tutti-fruities, power loop, loop kill to the professionals.

But then he is old skool coach.

That my friend is ts the goal with this blade…

It doesn’t mean I’m giving up on spin but this blade is just not right for it. But I also want the 1-ply hinoki feel…

the Tibhar Quantum X Proand X Pro Soft sound like the rubber you want.
I PLay it on A Blade from SDC Blade,With Spectra and Framire as Outer Layers, the Blade is in The SDC Thread here, with Mexican Grenadillo handle and is a fast blade.
Ialso play the Gorikki Kaisoku on it as BH rubber.
You can Loop with both rubbers, but counter,Block, push and drives are what the setup shines with,
If you hit a FH SMash, the SETUp with those 2 Rubbers and especially the Spectra layer makes and unbelievable sound!
Fun as Hell, but conditioning has to be there and for me it is not, otherwise i would play that fast setup as Main!

This would be amazing if you can control it. I imagine it's nice on 5-ply, but for 1-ply it may be too fast. I've tried Tibhar Hybrid K3 and Dignics 09c on 1-ply hinoki and couldn't control it at all.

Unfortunately no :( but I still really like it and haven't found anything better. I can pick up the ball with it and hold it for 5-10 seconds. Tacky enough, I think. But I would still prefer tackier.

Yeah I wish they were still really tacky

Yes, I use double inverted. I've never tried Geospin Tacky -- would you recommend it?
My secondary blade is Butterfly Cypress Tmax. I tried a few different rubbers.
If Dignics 09c is still too fast for you, I would suggest Grayzer 09c. It works really well on my Cypress, actually the only rubber that works well for me so far. I haven't tried Dignics 09c though.

Edit: After using G09c for a month, the high throw angle started to annoy me. 😅
I'm changing to Sanwei Gear Hyper blue.

I think if you have problem controlling one ply hinoki blade, slow tacky rubber is a great option.

My main blade is twiddling/reversible jpenholder (Butterfly Garaydia Revolver).
I always wanted to use a traditional one ply hinoki jpenholder, so I got myself Butterfly Cypress Tmax.
Tmax is supposed to be the slowest in the series, (with Vmax being in the middle and Gmax being the fastest), but it's still too fast for an amateur player like me.
I tried many different rubbers on it, but nothing really worked.
Tensors and SP didn't really work for me so far.
Fastarc series were OK.

The one that works really great for me is Butterfly Glayzer 09c. It's supposed to be the slower version of Dignics 09c, but some reviews said it feels different to D09c. I tried my friend's D09c and felt it was a bit too fast, so I ended up getting the G09c. It's a really great rubber with great spin and control. I think it's a great rubber to tame down fast blades.
I even use G09c on my main blade now.
My favourite rubber before this was Hurricane 3.

I think G09c is an underrated rubber. If u read online, it has mixed reviews. People who are complaining are those who want fast rubbers.
In my opinion, for amateur players like me, we don't need blazingly fast setup. Control is much more important. If u have trouble controlling the ball, I highly recommend giving G09c a try. U will see marked improvement in your game.

Edit: After using it for a month, I feel like the high throw angle doesn't really suit my playstyles. I think the high throw angle will be the deal breaker for some people. So if you prefer low throw angle, avoid this rubber.
