Hi guys,

If anyone has tried these three blades, can anyone compare them and tell me any differences between them and how they play (provincial version of the blades specifically, but also national version of these blades too)

I have played with a prov W968 and now have Q968 and S968 national - nto yet played with these enough to report but will do. Initial impression of Q968 is that I like it better than W968 by a fair margin. I have played with a Q king commercial version for a while and loved it.

Sounds great, please do update this thread with your thoughts as you play with them, would love to hear your feedback. So far, why do you think that the Q968 is better than W968?

Well, the W968 always felt a little flat and lacked dynamics when I played with it, whereas the Q968 just feels a little more lively without losing that lovely touch/ball feel. BH also a little easier for me to access. It’s over a year since I played with the W so my game has changed so that may be a contributing factor.

Ah I see, this sounds promising to the Q968

Got the S yesterday so not yet tried it but similar weight and a little thicker (6.09mm vs 5.96mm) so will be interesting to see how they play.

Good day to you sir.

What is the good outstanding of Q King commercial version you love it, such as feeling>control>flexible>speed or comfortable of the handle of this blade.

Thank you sir.
Best regards,

Best regards,
It’s very well balanced in terms of feel and speed - it was everything I had wanted/expected in the HL5 but not found. Good control and plenty of speed when needed. Handle was a little smaller than I like but not a bit issue.

Does any of the BTY blades have the same feel as this blade? Can you compare it with any of the BTY inner carbon blades like Harimoto ALC, franziska zlc or Dima ALC, etc?

So today, I tried a club mates Hurricane Long 5X with the same rubbers that I have on my FZD ALC (H3N Blue and 09C). I must say, my forehand felt way better while the backhand was only minimally worse. This club mate also said (he is better than me by a mile) that my game improve a lot with his blade. Now I am considering a Long 5X.

However, when I asked him about a provincial W968, he said, and I quote, “For us amateurs, the provincial Long blade is double the price of Long 5X, but only plays 15% better.” Is he justified in saying this and should i really invest in a W/Q/S968 or just get a Long 5X instead for cheaper?

15% is a lot. If you lose by 3-2 or 3-1 and win 15% more points than before. It could mean that you're winning instead of losing.
Just choose a blade.

I’ll probably choose Long 5X then as it’s cheaper, probably won’t be much different feel than provincial W968 as an intermediate ella yet, and my club mate says I play extremely better with Long 5X than FZD ALC. Long 5X felt really good too for my personal feeling
