Been talking about how effective the fake loop is for a long time and was pleasantly surprised to see a video on it!
I think Seth does the explanation really well (tactics etc), but his no spin loop is not 'evil' enough because it is quite obvious he hit it with an open racket angle and just lifted it. However if you close your racket angle forward after the contact (think like a service fake motion), it would really look like an opening loop and opponents will really hate you when they repeatedly block it into the net. When they adjust, just go back to the real loop and watch the ball fly out of the table lol.
This stroke is also quite the pips killer because there is no spin or pace for the pips to borrow. I have played many pips ppl and they all hate facing this stroke. After this fake loop they will give you a simple no spin ball which you can finish off. Much easier than trying to deal with the ultra heavy backspin ball they create after chopblocking your ball.
