Ito's desire was there but her body shape, reaction time, and technical/tactical execution, which peaked between late 2019 and early 2020, were a shell of her former self. Even if she knew what to do, she just couldn't get it done. Most top players with double-inverted style know how to play her. The QF against Odo made that abundantly clear. SYS's withdrawal, SHW taking out Pyon Song Gyong, and her WR got her a bronze medal here, which is way more than her current game could've gotten her. She should feel satisifed with it.

For WD, Ito has extended the olive branch, so it depends on Hayata (whether she wants to be marooned again). Personally, I think Hayata should focus on WS like Hirano does. Whether her injury never truly healed or flared up again (lying or not), it's obvious her body cannot take much more than that with the reckless way she plays. Matsushima/Miwa will be the XD pair for LA 2028. Unless Hayata learns to rein herself in further, playing WD again with Ito will just be useless work that leads nowhere. Leave the precious spot to Harimoto/Kihara and/or Odo/Yokoi for the time being.
2028 far away still…

What about a whole lot more great father and daughter/son moments in Harimoto family?
Yes, of course. I was just watching the OJS / WCQ at the time. The Harimoto dad must be incredibly proud of what his daughter has done. Last time Japan beat China in WT at the Asian Championship was 50 years ago in 1974 so there is historic significance.

I'm not yet sold on Miwa/Sora pair. Talent of course is there, but the chemistry seems to be missing. But we'll see. As you said, 2028 is still far away.

He doesn't cho enough. Tomokazu has to do all the choing when he plays doubles with him.

I know you're joking about this a bit but there's a lot of truth in this.

When they got eliminated against the Koreans yesterday, Harimoto had to constantly try to motivate and pump up a very frustrated and deflated Sora. He was being the cheerleader in that pair and it was pretty funny to see.

I guess he's usually the younger one in the pair and he feels the need to act the part of senpai now with Sora. It's an encouraging sign of maturity, especially since the day before he was completely burnt out during the men's team match with HKG.

WD SF
KM/CXT 0-3 Odo/Yokoi (-10, -11, -9)
Harimoto/Kihara 3-0 A. Mukherjee/S. Mukherjee (4, 9, 9)

Total collapse for CNT in WT/WS/WD.

Yokoi did a great job of reining in Odo when the latter lost herself in the heat of the moment.

40+*** if they state it that way (would be great if we have a clear picture of the ball logo from the matches). Only the P.S. 40+*** is seamed.

Looking at the prospectus for ATTC 2023, Butterfly R40+*** was stated, when Butterfly also had several of them:
All seamed

G40+*** expiring 2024/12/31
A40+***
S40+*** expiring 2024/12/31
