Couldn't you just use more of a "backhand grip" some shakehand users use a slight grip change where they turn the hand more on top of the grip for backhand.

Imo this grip would have a big disadvantage for forehand.

Not sure about the penhold version. I play RPB penhold myself but not sure about how to rate that.

You can try it though, it might be worth your time
