Sweden has always had a better atmosphere than Germany, last ETTTC in 2023 were really intense. Sweden really deserves to hosts more big events.
The atmosphere will ramp up as the week goes on. Germany is pretty good for Table Tennis events to be fair and the fans are very knowledgeable and appreciative.
The issue of afternoon matches hasn't even been addressed at this tournament because if they'd bothered they could easily have bussed 100s of TT playing kids from school to experience the arena for a few hours but they've missed a trick with all of these empty seats.
The atmosphere last year was brilliant but I was there for Friday and Saturday so it was completely different to what we're seeing now.
Would love to visit Sweden for an event one year, although but I don't speak any Swedish.....

Did the French head coach care to stop Lebesson from serving so illegally?
No need to, did you pay attention to his ranking lately ? :ROFLMAO:
On a more serious note, a ball hidden behind the head is less harming than the ball behind the body
- behind the head, and when you see how much the tall Manu has the bend himself, you can still see the wrist motion between the table and the face
- behind the body it's impossible to see any wrist motion.

That's why Timo Boll (Lefty) or Dima (righty) have never been annoyed by Lebesson's serves, but Timo made clear LSD ones were wrong

Now with your inner urge to trash talk me, you jumped on your seat and you simply did not took the right example, cos' there's actually someone serving illegaly in the french squad, a behind the body serve indeed. But the difference is it's not on purpose, and she's now changing the things cos' Ludovic Remy found it was not that efficient.

Who is wrong about what? NextLevel that Simon has gotten opportunities to train with the Lebruns since they emerged as world forces and likely benefited from it to some degree?

Or me that the Lebruns outworked Gauzy on the table? I know you are so sure that I'm making up fake news but before you accuse people of lying, you should educate yourself on how frequently teammates/training partners of these players come to the US or how some of them are even living here now such as de Saintilan, Angles, Lorentz, B Dupont, Hachard and Esteban Dorr. Lots of people have been through Ox and the US too ;)
Everyone is having disputes over what words mean in English, his post validates everything I wrote and he says everyone is wrong. Let's just move on, please, someone is always wrong on the internet these days and when corrected, they always think they are right. This is a great tournament.

I'm really happy for Pitch, really convincing win. Dima has never been the same since he broke/sprained his ankle, he should really retire now. We don't want to see our euro heroes being thrashed like that too early.

O a more patriotic note, again: Pro A > TTBL 1
It does really feel like Dima will never get his form back.

Also, USA MLTT > TTBL 1

Is it a hot take to predict an Oh Junsung victory over Hugo here?
At asian champs he got the scalp of Kao last week, and WCQ + Shinozuka at Asian champ. Also UDA at WTT Almaty but lost Dima at China Smash. I don't see him with big wins yet against non-Asian players. and apart from WCQ which is a great win, i don't see any great win against top10 players.
I think its quite risky to bet on OH on this one, Hugo has been great and very consistent recently
(iirc bookies offered OH around 3 before the match)
