Just ordered my 2nd Synteliac VCI ST cause I love the feeling, speed and the large sweetspot. ( gave the first one to a close friend )

Also I will try NUZN 55 this time. Used NUZN 50 with first one and it was good. Now I will use it on my BH and 55 for my FH.

My team buys me 2 rubbers every year, so I ordered two Joola Rhyzer Pro as always, but they were out of stock. I had to come up with two rubbers to try, and I went with Xiom J&H 52.5V and Joola Dynaryz Inferno.

I haven’t tried the Joola yet, but Xiom J&H 52.5 was a bit of a disappointing experience. It’s hard, just a bit tacky, and not bouncy, so I thought it was going to be spinny, but it wasn’t.

The topsheet is firm and slightly tacky, but it’s not elastic; you can’t feel the rubber reacting to the incoming ball.

Loops and drives are fine, but when you try to get more out of it, it doesn’t deliver. Whatever you do, it doesn’t matter. The 52.5V gives you about the same spin no matter what, and that’s so predictable. Brushing, carrying, slapping—whatever—it doesn’t matter. If you play like a robot ( kanak jha ? ) and don’t think about varying the spin, then it’s fine, but if you play like me, then it’s a deal-breaker. It’s too linear. I enjoyed it against very aggresive players because its not sensitive to incoming spin but like I sad if I cant vary the spin I cant use it...

It reminded me a bit of the Donic Bluestar series, but I only played with Bluestar for 5 minutes, so I’m not sure...

Maybe I should try Andro C48 or C53 next time. I don’t know...

Recently purchased:
Xiom 36.5 ALX
Xiom J&H C 55 Max(FH)
Nittaku Fast Arc G1 Max (BH)

Had a few hours training yesterday and absolutely loved it.
The whole set up is so controllable, yet able to produce lots of spin and speed.
The noise that is made when the ball hits the bat is just *chefs kiss*

Everytime I'm tempted to try t05 hard I remember that everyone who used it all switched to d09
A lot of players that used it and prefer non-sticky forehand rubbers switched to the harder pro version Dignics 05. It depends on your style and what you prefer, tacky rubbers are good at neutralising your opponents spin and quality and giving you more time to add your own spin. That doesn’t mean that you can’t get enough or the same amount of spin with Tenergy 05 Hard or Dignics 05, those rubbers require even more acceleration and effort to penetrate the sponge and spin the ball consistently because there is less dwell time. A lot of the pros that use Dignics 09c said that they use it because it makes the awkward balls easier and that Tenergy is actually faster against easier balls and when you’re in good position anyway.

I can’t, some sponsored players can like they did for Tenergy 05 Hard 2 years before it was released, but I do know players that can get it. Tenergy 05 Hard is a much better rubber (than the commercially available D05) due to the greater hardness and, especially when boosted, is significantly spinnier than all of the Dignics series besides D09c (although the difference between these two is marginal).

In the good old days, when fast glue was allowed, my professional friends would re-glue Tenergy 05 to fast glue before each training session  Sometimes after them we would get this rubber with a dead sponge but still quite a lively topsheet. At the amateur level, such rubber lasted for years :)

I have speed glued classic rubbers and the feeling is amazing but if you use abuse them you can kill the sponge in days, I used to use 3 massive puddles or 9-10 normal layers to get the strongest effect possible. Of course I wasn’t using them in competition, it was just an experiment as I’m not old enough to have played during the speed glue era. I think a well boosted Tenergy 05 Hard is as close as we’ll get to the feeling of a heavily speed glued Sriver. Immediately after the speed glued ban many players boosted Bryce speed which was more effective than boosting Bryce but the sponge wasn’t fully optimised for boosting yet, however a year later when Butterfly released Tenergy with spring sponge they created a sponge that was durable and reacted well to booster. The same is true with the spring sponge in the Tenergy 05 Hard today and the Spring Sponge X in the Dignics series. The Chinese followed suit and developed the #22 blue sponge which in the opinion of many players reacted better to booster than than #20 orange sponge did to speed glue meaning that if the rubber was hard enough and enough layers of booster where used that we could get the power from the rubber again like in the speed glued era. Of course the top professional players that want to can ask for whatever hardness they want and can boost very heavily to the point that their rubbers are faster than the heavily speed glued rubbers before 2008.

The more money you spend on Butterfly blades the better their packaging looks.
Worth the money for whoever can afford it. No issues here, even tho been using fzd alc for 2 years and lgy alc prior to that I got the itch to try the fzd super alc.

Time will tell if I like it or not but either way if I don’t no problem. After an hours hit with it today too early to give any verdict or preference.

Hello, being a regular of useless purchases in TT, I bought in December 2024 a W968 Golden N°3, a DF218 Control and as I made a mistake on this covering because I wanted the Spin version, well I bought the 218 Spin... And last week, I bought a Q968° N°23 and a V15 Sticky. And now I'm looking for a w968 Golden, just in case and to make myself a second racket (I have too many second rackets) 😄 .
Is it really useful? No
I really need it? No
I'm stronger and better? No
I spent again without counting? Yes
I'm a big EJ? I'm waiting for the doctor to come back...

Edit: it's 10:16, less than an hour has passed since my post and I just bought a DHS Hurricane Long 5 Golden from TT11 Paris
🤭🫣
