I only saw Elbeiali gettig TTR. And to me his serves that were TTRed were blatantly illegal. HYZ serves was far less illegal to me
TTR was used during challenges. Elbeiali's serves were faulted and he challenged, hence the TTRs. HYZ was warned once and then he modified his service. I wonder if it's just a HYZ thing or a CNT thing because he really modified his service by a lot after the warning, with a much straighter toss and serving much farther away from his body (warning was for head hiding the ball, same as Elbeiali). Elbeiali's issue is that he didn't modify his service at all. He literally served the exact same way immediately after the warning, drawing an immediate fault.

Lin Yun Ju vs Dima! The A Vs B ( or usually winner vs winner) matchups today are fraught with thrills! Though in a few rare cases we have winners vs drawers or losers (sorry WYD). Which matches are likely to be upsets? And Omar Assar vs AJH doesn't count...

YouTube chat user, VisualRemix, mentioned in the chat that the World Cup Day 2 Recap says there's still a chance for all 3 players(YJN, WYD, SJ) to advance:

Yuan’s victory throws Group 3 wide open, with all three players still holding a chance of qualifying to Stage 2. She promised to closely watch Yidi Wang take on Shao Jieni, with the outcome of that match set to decide the fate of all three players.

Nah, they just don't know how to do the math.

so do you guys prefer this format, or the 7 point, best of 7 format?
lots of new format in recent years, including that of XDWC (which was copied from UTT)
This format is not bad for the group stages unless the game is tie 2-2 then extra game should be played. When they reach QF, SF and Finals should be best of 7

Grp3 M3
Harimoto 3-1 HYZ (8, 9, 10, -6)
G2 109, Harimoto didn't force it with his BH loop on the half long ball and opted with his BH deep push
G3 15, 25, 27, 37, 38, 48, 49, 79, 710, 1210, Harimoto made it through against all odds

Congrats to Harimoto, sad to see HYZ go. Does anyone know, if they tied 2-2, who would’ve gone through?
It would have depended on the points in the match , Harimoto has won the first two games at plus 5, with no deuces so at a minimum, HYZ needed plus 6 with no deuces. If they had a perfect tie, thr likely Harimoto's edge against Elbeiali would havr seen him prevail.
