I have to say Miwa's short touch really good. Seamless bounces higher and she could keep it really low and short. Well done.

Miwa took the TO at 7-7, but WMY won the next 2 points 7-9. Miwa scored back one 8-9 and now WMY takes the TO !

Both really want to win that G4.

I saw this on TTD when Ishikawa was playing, it went on for a few years.

How anyone could watch the Hayata match and see ut as the end of someone's career is beyond me.completely.

Anyone have an analysis of the last two games where LSD turned it around?
Was it a tactical thing from LSD?
Or could have gone either way with LSD lucky to come out on right side of it?

The future is blindingly bright for Miwa. She was unbeatable when she could control the middle. And her FH was unstoppable. Just need a little more consistency. But LA2028 is looking really good for her.

Her issues returning that reverse spin into the forehand give a mild insight into her struggles with lefties. She needs to do a bit better with that serve over time.

That opening loop by WMY is loaded and Harimoto couldn't overcome the spin with her power, yet. Maybe next year or if she outgrows expectations, later this year.
