This Gauzy vs LGY match might actually be the most insane match I've ever seen. Gauzy is in full ridiculous Gauzy mode and it's beautiful to watch.

HE DID IT!

After so many close calls with Chinese team opponents, he beats LGY convincingly 4-1 playing as insane as possible.

the only player i can think of playing ridiculously like that is Koki NIWA. he won a few insane matchs with his all-out style...
more often only 1 or 2 sets ... but yes he had a few great wins in his career...

I suspect so. But some of it will depend on how well the rest of the team does. The rest of the world is stronger than it used to be.

Xiang Peng was a way better option, was he injured so that the CNT did not put him on the list ?

With the performances of Wang and Lin, it is very likely that they will meet in the final. I feel Wang Chuqin has improved a lot on his open forehand corner weaknest. It is hard for other players to exploit this now.

The thing that makes it fairer, but also likely affected Lin is that he had to play his own match at the same time that Gauzy was playing Lind so LGY and Gauzy were both tired, but Gauzy handled it better.

Maybe playing the tough match against Lind helped Simon. LGY didn't really have any tough games before this.

Gauzy was so shy, just didn't like being on camera and took the only option available. Crazy match.

Nothing really prepares you completely to play a player but half a loaf is better than 1 and Lind did beat WCQ lol...
