i am super interested in this rubber but it seems impossible to figure out what it actually is and how it plays...

"The weight of the Hurricane 8-80 from Nitaku is very satisfying
I tried the DHS Hurricane 8-80 and it was so bad, but the Nittaku Hurricane 8-80 is really..(Is it similar..?)
I tried the Hurricane 8 Jeon Ji-hee Guk-kwang and it was really good
The specs of the general products were not up to par at all
Really~
Made in Korea!!!"

The hardness here is the worst part ever
35 in China?!
Every body wants 39-40 degree dhs h8-80 and we receive 35...

At the risk of sounding pedantic, I have to repeat myself from a previous post...
The sponge is clearly marked as 210 37, which means 2.1mm and 37º. This was very likely fone by DHS themselves, as the marking is identical to the DHS versions.
I have very little doubts that these two Nittaku versions are anything but the 37 and 38 degrees specs of regular H8-80 imported for the Japanese market (as Nittaku does with DHS products), with MAYBE better QC and/or stringency on the specs...

yes, this seems to be the case. but quite crazy they would market the 37° seperately as 8-80 POWER for almost double the price of the DHS version. can this really be?

If it's aimed at the Japanese market, it could very well be... there, very few people look for Chinese equipment and most only know what is imported by Nittaku.
That said, just like for their H3, there will very likely be good QC on these products as I suspect Nittaku demands higher standards (lower variance) from DHS for the products they import. This, plus the import fees and Nittaku's share could very well account for the Japanese price.
If they really try and sell it in Europe for 50 euros or more, I guess they will simply not sell many! 🤣

They wrote on the rubber that they use AC technology on sponge which can be the soulspin air booster but they used AC technology 8 years ago.. So there is too much for me, they should call the rubber nittaku h8-80 joker version.

Nobody tried them?

I'm curious about the difference between the two versions. The weights. The durability on the AC technology (who know), ... The easiness to play on backhand and forehand, ...
I have been using the the power version (37 degree) on my backhand for over a month and it’s very durable. It’s semi sticky as in even more then the hybrid like mk/k3 or d09c. Very little wear on the surface after at least 40 hours of play. It has a good combination of bounce and grip I feel. More
Grip then MK and way easier to use or spin then d09c. On the forehand it’s too soft for me. I did not try the 38 degree version though. I had been playing the normal 8-80 and it seems at least on this first power 8-80 I had that it’s slightly lighter(2-3 grams) then the normal 8-80. It also feels softer without any boosting when comparing to the normal version.

Can you compare with genextion or with g1? if you used them. I am having trouble pushing balls with genextion.

ok! are you comparing to DHS 8-80 37° or 38°? would you say that the Nittaku version has a different (treated?) sponge? i really would like to have a "POWER" 8-80 but i'm still not convinced that it is actually a different rubber and not just a rebrand for double the price.

Compared to the 8-80 37 degree. The fact that it is lighter then other 8-80 I tried seems to say there is a difference. It could be just better qc. The sponge has the 210
And 37 imported but not Dhs or other numbers in a normal 8-80 from Dhs. It also has the nittaku word
Printed as well. So would say it is a special batch made for nittaku according to their specs. Also the normal 8-80 from Dhs has some weighing a lot heavier and some lighter. For that reason alone I prefer getting this new
Nittaku version as it’s very consistent in weight. I have gotten 2 others and they are within 1 grams of each other.

I tried NH8-80P (unboosted) on bh of one of my FZDSALC and I was kind of disappointed. Spin is good but the sponge feels too soft for me. At least its easy to keep the ball on the table. Cut weight with no glue is 51g. Maybe I'll try it on a softer blade to see if it improves the response, but I feel like there's nothing this rubber offers me that a cheaper Mercury 2 Medium or provincial Hurricane 3 37 or 38 would

I also tried the DHS H880. Terrible QC with huge weight variation and rapid oxidation on the topsheet.

I am keen to try the Nittaku one on my BH. I played D09C on BH before. How does it compare to D09C in terms of feeling, control and blocking?
