Extensive test of the Telson on my King acB yesterday. Back in September, I tested it unboosted on my Yinhe 05. The feeling was nice but the arc was a little too low for my BH at that time. I prefered ESN rubbers. In February, my game evolved, I changed blade for the King acB and my BH went to a hybrid rubber boosted, Gewo Codexx 52. I boosted the Telson too and put it on my Loki w81 inner. Very short try and not satisfied with the blade.
4 months later, I boosted the Telson again, only one thin layer, because JieChi effect lasts quite long. First strokes states an obvious increase of speed compared to my Codexx. Is this because Codexx was boosted 4 months ago or Telson is, by nature, faster ? I don't know, I should boost the Codexx again to be sure, but I keep it like it is because I have a last tournament in 2 weeks and the Codexx has served perfectly until now.
The Telson feels softer than the Codexx, and it's logical, Codexx is 52°, Telson is around 47°. Top spin are extra fast, winners come more often than with the Codexx. I have the feeling that the spin is the same, but I can't be sure without measuring with SpinSight. Flat strokes give a very satisfying click noise. Active blocks are insane, the ball goes straight where you aimed at. I need more practice with it, because the decrease of control compared to my usual setup could be damaging in official game conditions. But I really enjoyed playing with it, and with good technique, it's a killer on the BH. I understand why it's the "D09c" killer of the Loki catalogue.
