Grebnev is WR 761 while Sidorenko doesn’t have a WR. Sidorenko wins 4-1.
AIN is 5th different association to win gold here. China fails to win any men’s events.
Highest ranking for Sidorenko was WR#100 in 2022

It seems that there are few spectators that stick around to watch each medal ceremony, at least in the part that is visible on the stream.
Unfortunate, these are top 50 quality players sidelined because of sanctions against Russia. They were juniors a few years ago and relatively young and should have been the generation to replace Shibaev and Skachkov. It's a pity how war ruins everything.

How is this related to all russians believing in Putin/war?

It same things. in 1930's many people who didn't like what going on escaped from Germany. Today people escaped from Russia. People who stay and don't protest share responsibility

Who told you they support dictatorship?
Not every person who lives in Russia supports dictatroship/war. That's a wrong assumption.
They both take part in all training camps of the Russian national team.
Read what's written on the official website of the Table Tennis Federation of Russia.
They openly state that they constantly donate money to support the war.
So yes — by participating in such events,
Sidorenko and Grebnev are supporting the war.

Where is it written here that these are athletes without citizenship? It is written that they are from Russia... This is a direct violation!
Sidorenko is the champion of the XXXII Summer World University Games
Vladimir Sidorenko won the men's singles final and became the first Russian champion of the World Universiade (Germany, Essen. July 16-26, 2025).

It should be noted that two Russian tennis players played in the decisive match, which also happened for the first time. In the match for 1st place, Sidorenko broke the resistance of his teammate Maxim Grebnev, thereby confirming his leadership in the ranking of Russian tennis players.

Thus, Russian athletes are taking two medals from Essen: gold and silver.

Participating in such events as a leading sportsman is obligatory, and i don't know if you know this but more than 90% of the money for the war comes from the oil/gas sales, definitely not from the table tennis federation, and especially not the sportsmen. By that logic, everyone who lives in russia is supporting the war (which is nonsense) because they pay taxes, and according to your logic, taxes fund the army and hence the war

Unless they openly admit they support the war you can't say they do. But I really doubt young and smart people like them would support this madness. On top of that, if they compete under a neutral flag that by default means they do not represent their country, they represent themselves only. Look at the recent olympics, russians were allowed as long as they competed under a neutral flag and didn't openly support the war (which none of aforementioned players did)

come to russia and show them how to protest. You clearly don't know what Russia is like if you say that you can "protest" anything there.

By saying those people who don't protest the war are responsible for it you take the real responsibility off of those people who are really responsible for the war: the decision makers and the soldiers who follow the criminal orders, regular people have nothing to do with it.

I don't need to show. They know how to protest and they did it in 1991
