so at FISU taekwondo medal ceremony, 2 of Taiwan's athletes were about to receive something from Taiwan's Minister of Education, who is also the leader of the Taiwan university team delegation, and the ministry that is in charge of sports within Taiwan.
so, you see 2 Chinese officials, going over to attempt to remove something that the minister was going to hand over to the Taiwanese athletes (I'm not sure what).
Then you can see the "thought process" of these Chinese officials is that Taiwan's delegation has violated some rules and they want to maybe 1) take photos, 2) confiscate it.
From the dialogue, it seems like the Chinese officials wanted to confiscate it, and was blocked by Taiwan's officials + Taiwan's news reporters. These are just things Taiwan face out there and need to be civil about it.
I think the way Russia - Ukraine in the sporting worlds is still very civil and I personally feel sports people are victims too, but i'm not sure what other countries athletes will get abuses in foreign soil by unfriendly neighbors - and in a 1st world European giant, Germany, of all places.
Imagine this is Russian officials abusing Ukraine delegation.
Or North Korea and South Korea
its unheard of right?
Sports should be peace, friendship, and leave the politics to the politicians.
