Europe Youth Smash – Sweden 2025
In the run-up to the Europe Youth Smash – Sweden 2025 tournament, the brightest and strongest young table tennis players are ready to make their mark on the world stage, preparing for the competition to be held at the Baltiska Hallen arena in Malmö, Sweden, from August 21 to 24, 2025.
The Europe Youth Smash – Sweden 2025 tournament, featuring athletes from 30 countries across five continents, has attracted some of the most promising stars in the sport.
World Table Tennis (WTT) announced the introduction of a new youth tournament category with the launch of the WTT Youth Grand Smash in 2025 at the Singapore Youth Smash 2025. This new category will become the pinnacle of youth table tennis, featuring singles competitions for boys and girls under 15 and under 19. Each tournament brings together the top 32 young talents in the world, competing for ITTF Table Tennis World Ranking points and a share of the USD 20,000 prize pool — the largest in youth table tennis.
Building on the success of the WTT Youth Star Contender Singapore 2024, the WTT Youth Grand Smash tournaments, where possible, are integrated into the WTT Grand Smash events calendar. This enables young athletes to compete alongside the world’s elite players, giving them invaluable experience and inspiring the next generation of table tennis enthusiasts.
In addition to providing a first-class competitive platform, the WTT Youth Grand Smash will serve as a testing ground for innovative playing systems and other elements that may shape the future of WTT. The introduction of these tournaments is part of a broader restructuring of the WTT Youth Series, aimed at maximizing engagement and creating opportunities for young players.
