AJH: Having served as the P-Athlete 2 times, LA28 is gonna be my stage!

No JNT men left beyond R16. Not looking good ahead of ATTTC 2025.

Tomo must have run out of his Zyre stock.
Zyre didn't help Miwa yesterday either lol
Poor Harimotos are dropping like flies. :(
Such a disappointing result for Tomo, only a few days after that huge win against WCQ. Maybe he didn't dislike the Korean coach enough lol

Harimoto: I'm inevitably the best when ML, FZD, WCQ, LJK don't compete.
Also Harimoto: OK I did not know An Jaehyun is that good ...

Some of it is scars from junior play, scars from which Harimoto has never fully recovered.

He just refuses to commit to the away from the table rally, he keeps hoping to win with his default table holding game, it will be a tough transition for him to fully embrace.

Harimoto was a huge favorite over AJH for some reason. Was able to get +500 odds on him. Great performance and shot making when it counted.

Togami again proving he's a glass cannon. Has unlimited power still doesn't know how to reign it in. The 3-0 against LYJ and the 11-1 and 11-2 games against Jorgic were absolutely spectacular though. Dialed in Togami is really something else.

Bummed for Nagasaki. She played incredibly well for the entire match even up 7-5 in the decider. But she couldn't overcome that extra CNT late match wall, which is still going strong on the women's side).

Odo was the biggest surprise as a huge underdog and most people (me included) absolutely sure that ZYL had figured her out. This is the most promising result I've seen from her in terms of making adjustments. For a while it was looking like she hit a wall in her progress.

I will wait to see Odo survive TTR before I believe it.

Tomokazu Harimoto was obviously playing 60% only, suffering from injury.
This is possible but everyone has injuries and no quarter is requested or granted in table tennis once you agree to play by getting on the table.

Maybe, but he is also known to have trouble against An Jaehyun.
Previous to this match, AJH was leading 5:3 against him in the H2H, although HT won the last 2 time they played.

Still a big upset due to HT's momentum. He looked invencible when defeating WCQ only 10 days ago.

That invincibility required a level of fitness though that injury would prevent him from sustaining so that would back up what Takkyu is trying to say - that he was restricted to his old game by injury. If so, unfortunate, but it is what it is.

He looked invincible two rounds before lol. But the credit should go to AJH who has prepared well with spin variations and controling pace, which can be the reason why Harimoto did not defend solidly today.

because he had a lot of margin against his previous opponents. and probably those matches weighed even more on his injury.
Tomo is a fighter. he likes to play even in these conditions because he knows he can learn also from those matches

Not necessarily. FWIW, he said he has cough-variant asthma (CVA), which started a month ago and is gradually getting better...

Ever since getting wronged at US Smash 2025 and losing to Sone in the T.League, his moral values have been slowly but steadily eroding...

Woots finally a win to Singapore but not without some controversy.

SG: We served just nicely on the line.
CHN: No, it didn't cross the line.

CHN: It was an edge ball.
SG: No, it was side.

I guess the upside is the umpire was firm in her decisions and didn't entertain any disputes lolll
