Hello TTD!
Some of you may remember this thread from August last year…..
https://www.tabletennisdaily.com/forum/topics/badgers-on-tour.34869/
Well, I am very happy to say that with the excellent help and organisation of @latej, 3 of the Bugbrooke Badgers flew out to Vienna, drove the 3 hours up to Czech Republic and faced off against 2 local Czech teams, including @latej’s team.
It was an absolute privilege to play in another country against similar teams, and I can’t thank @latej enough for his hospitality and help in organising the matches.
On a personal level, @latej is an excellent player! We only played the 1 match which I lost 3-1 (rueing the opportunity to go 2-0 up!)
He moves incredibly well and picks up a mid table forehand exquisitely!
It was an honour to play him, and the Chicken Pakora at the Indian restaurant we went to afterwards softened the blow from the loss!
The Badgers will be going on tour again next year (probably), and whilst a re-match with @latej and his team is on the cards, if any other teams in Europe fancy hosting a few matches, please let me know!
Once again, @latej, thank you - An absolute gentleman of the highest order.
PS - Some video highlights to follow once I've edited them!
