TTD Community Meet Up and Tournament?!

Your once in a lifetime opportunity has arisen!

After the WILDLY successful tour of @latej 's homeland a few weeks ago, we are looking to go even BIGGER for 2026.

However, there wasn't much reaction at the time.... And after discussion with backspacer, we are looking to bring it back to life!

There is still a lot of "to be confirmed" details, but it will likely be in the summer of 2026.

So.... Question.....

Who on the TTD forum (no matter where you are!) could realistically attend a meet up/tournament in Germany in the summer of 2026?

The Badgers (my team) are likely going to be there regardless, so we'll end up playing backspacer and his teams (@latej ..... An open invitation if you'd like to join us!)

Depends on the date, having a family means we're going on holiday at some point in the summer. But I love the idea and you should definitely try and get Dan and the crew out there, too!

My wife and I usually take one big trip a year and have wanted to visit Germany for some time; this would be a great excuse. (At least for me! She's not much of a ponger 😅)

Sounds like a great idea. The circumstances are uncertain, but I might make a trip, why not 😁

I think its improbable that I'd miss it ;-) I've already planned to visit my friend in Germany that summer, with my family. Of course, whether or not it will coincide, is open, but coming twice is not a big problem. Now whether or not my team mates would come with me is also open/uncertain now, but there's enough time. Great idea @NDH and @backspacer. I hope many TTD members will come...

As I have a relatively flexible schedule, I can definitely attend and I wouldn't miss it for the world.
But I have to know the details (city, venue, dates etc) months in prior, so i can arrange flights, airbnb/hotel etc.
What month are we talking about?

Probably August. The summer team cup is taking place throughout all of Germany between May and July and securing the venue would be harder during that time. If teams qualify for the final in Saarbrücken at the end of August there would likely be another round in-between due to too many teams and said round would take place during early August iirc.

End of August is the toughest time for me due to vacations, but when you have specific dates let me know.

Haha, I'm pretty sure that @zeio vs. @Tony's Table Tennis would be more trash talking than actual play, much like modern day WWE, only in the TT world. Would be highly entertaining in general though, and the most enticing match-up by a country mile.
