Ankur B. vs Zhou Kai was epic. Looking forward to the next round!
Best Indian prospect in a while.
Duda out in 1st round/R64 😬
Uda in to R32

XD R32
Akash Pal/Jee Minhyung 3-2 Ionescu/Szocs (7, -7, -7, 4, 9)

Diaz did herself justice versus Hashimoto.
Diaz is a good player. Jee on the other completely perplexes me with her relative success.

What are the thoughts on quadri Arunas ttr reviews against lind.
The angele the checked it on was so whack.
It is to me not so much the angle (which is clearly a problem) but that the ball is clearly behind the plane of the body but the judgment sticks to a visibility criterion. They need to make a serious decision on how this will work. I get tired of all the dubious nonsense that this implementation still encourages. I get that serving still has to be a deceptive skill but people should learn to deceive without sticking heads hands and shoulders close to the ball.

Facts, but the heads dont cover the point of contact. The contact is clearly visible ita just when the ball drops they can see it for a bit.

I think ttr is whack how it is right now.
I just watched Sora vs Xue Fei and the angle is whack again. Sora should clearly be able to see the ball but it's not visible in TTR, and the angle is completely different to Aruna vs Lind there is no consistency at all.
The should put the camera at the middle line or at the players perspective. Which is impossible to perfectly do because the players move when receiving.
Ttr in this state is useless and does not add fairness.

The heads do for some players and I rule is visibility throughout the service not just at the point of contact. Otherwise we go back to envelope pushing dubious arguments over whether the ball is hidden by someone's head or shoulder or not at this point or that point of the serve. Was contact just behind their head or just below the chin? Oh it was below the chin, its your fault you didn't see it.

Is there any context of the argument or any video proof? They are basically national teammates, why would they be fighting?
it was a doubles match i recall, but youre gonna have to take my word for it beyond that unless u want to trawl through their past livestreams lol.

dont have a naive view abt national teammates; just look at hayatas saga with harimoto over the medical timeout not too long ago for an eg of how cutthroat tt is....even though they wear the same flag

they can basically penalise (or cover up for) whoever they want just by changing the angle, absolutely ridiculous

这些澳大利亚选手参加比赛的意义在哪里 (What's the significance of these Australian players participating in competitions?)
https://tieba.baidu.com/p/10079495456

AUS players:
MS R64
Ankur Bhattacharjee (Q) 2-3 Nicholas LUM (3, -9, -10, 6, -8)

Bhattacharjee's senior results in 2025 could be better, especially against choppers.

So nice of China Smash to give him the host wildcard WTT Youth Nomination.
Europe Smash, US Smash and Singapore Smash could've given him the wildcard WTT Youth Nomination but no.

WTT Youth Nomination (Only for Qualifying)

I completely do not understand the rule of wild cards. These Australian players would not pass even first round of qualification round. But these way they get more points just for participating.

They need players from each continent and they also happen to have enough points because of continental points.

As an Australian I understand your frustrations, the contentinal points out players get inflates their world ranking allowing for more tournament invites over players who are better. As an Aussie I want us to succeed and I'm not certain that playing these stronger players consistently will actually help them mature into their current world rankings. It might be more beneficial for them to play in the qualifiers as they could get more wins and confidence under their belt, instead of having to play Felix or wcq first round. I would love for our players join international leagues like how Aditya played for MLTT but due to Australia being in the middle of nowhere such leagues provides a big strain on our players.

i feel your frustrations, hopefully this added context allows for a bit more empathy.
