He's lost to Matsushima, Rassenfosse, Bardet, Calderano, Harimoto and Duda in the past calendar year.
So you're trusting LSD in the fifth if Japan played Harimoto in that position, when Harimoto is 5-1 against him?

LJK has clearly not been in the best health at points throughout the last year but the Chinese coach will know his current state better than any of us. Lin Shidong is also 0-2 against Calderano so that's an interesting knock against LJK.

Be be fair Hiroto performed more consistently than Sora. Yes Hiroto ranked lower but I would say he already outperformed his level today.

Sora on the other hand just crumbled under pressure. His top spin shots went all over the place in the 5th game. LJK literally just played more gentle, placed the ball on the table and wait for Sora to hit the net or the sky.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Sora has all the talent in the world, yet he gives up yet again in a 5th set match in a 5th team match. LJK played really well, I’m very glad he fought through. But Soras mentality stinks right now. He was so impressive against WCQ. He beat LJK before. But all of a sudden you go down 8-3 or smth like that and you feel the need to throw in the towel, in probably one of the most crucial matches of your life. But of course @NetProphet will say some bull on “Playing the WR6 is daunting and if Sora at 18 years old doesn’t have the belief or ability to do better than 2-3 then so be it, I won’t criticize this guys performance because it’s ‘abusive’”

Hiroto taking LSD to a 5th set is quite impressive already. I expected a wipeout from LSD personally but fair play to Shinozuka

He was rumored to be injured. Did you see him against Noshad and Harimoto?wasn't it obvious his fiom was back?

I was expecting 3-0 to China but Japan played really well, they prove me wrong. Even though they should have won from the situation they were in leading 2-0 in matches. I’m not going to blame any of the players since the games they lost were really close 3-2.

In my opinion, Sora has the potential to be better than Felix in terms of who is the closest player to his age. But what separates Felix imo is that no matter how often he cries, crashes out, or smashes his racket, is that he gives his 100% every single point. No matter how badly he is losing. He fights till the very end. And that’s something I really commend of the Frenchman. If Sora had that mentality, he could be Top 5 within like a year.

It isnt bull. Hopefully you will read up on talents like Sora who had issues. Federer was not that different with his anger management.

That Super league back injury impacted him I could tell. The way his form and his movement was the last few games definitely hurt him, plus the time he had to take off to recover of course he might be slightly rusty. But he kept on grinding, and they don’t call him comeback man for no reason. Impressive showing today

Sure it’s not bull that he has mentality issues. What’s bull is that he is free from people pointing it out as a negative of his and must be fixed. You think Federer would be who he was in table tennis if nothing changed in terms of his anger management? I am sure many people criticized his anger as a major setback of his

When he was Sora's age he was losing to Jang Woojin in juniors. Food for thought.

And yet, did he ever have that “Imma just give up cuz i’m down by 5“ mindset?
