Best all wood blade?

I have used Victas Koki Niwa wood and Yasaka Falck W7 the most.

Koki Niwa wood is a looping machine with really good control. Big kick on loops. BUT if you also hit, it feels like a vibrating noodle imo. So style of play really matters. It also has a smaller handle-which I like with smaller hands.

The Falck W7 is MUCH better at hitting, but not as good at looping or control. I prefer the feel of W7 overall-stiffer, but still some kick.

Almost everyone at my club plays with the viscaria. I have resisted so far. I have recently acquired a Yasaka Falck carbon, but the jury is still out.

I suspect you will be going back to your viscaria very, very soon.

Thank you for the interesting list — much appreciated. If you wouldn’t mind, I’d love for you to elaborate on what makes the CS Wood land on this list and stand out for you, and how you feel it compares to the Nittaku Acoustic and the Butterfly Korbel/Falcima in terms of speed, dwell/kick, control, weight/balance, and its overall feel on serves and blocks. If possible, I’d also be curious to know what rubber setup you had in mind (thickness, tension), as that would help put your comparison into better context.

(I actually considered the CS Wood myself but ultimately chose another blade for the moment — though I remain intrigued by it and curious about its performance.)
Sure friend,
Cyber Shape Wood is my favorite because it's fast enough and has a smooth feel. It has a long dwell time, that makes it easier to create very spinning loops with a safe trajectory. I used the CWT model with a 6g weight, so it keeps the balance point still oriented towards the top.
My setup CSW:
H3 national BS 39°, 2.15 (boosted with Faco Long); Tenergy 19 or dig05.

The difference between CSWood and Nittaku Acostic is small, especially the feel, with a higher top speed for the acoustic wood.

Korbel and Fálcima have thicker handles and are faster than CSWood. Fálcima is stiffer and sharper, best to do smash drives and blocks.

By the way, atually my setup is Viscaria or SuperVis (H3/Dig09 or V22) if I were to go back to something 100% wood, I would go with Fálcima.

How long do you have in between boosts? It's advertised that the boosting effect last as long as 2-3 months, is this true in your opinion? And when the boost effect wears off how does it play? Used Haifu boosters in the past and had to boost every month basically

I've been playing some with an old Dignics 05 on a JOOLA Viva (7-ply, like a Clipper supposedly). It is really nice to play with. Blocks are amazing to control, has a soft/absorbing feel but still plenty of speed/crispness. Nice spin to speed ratio. I think a 7-ply blade could be the way to go!

So im playing with Viscaria for most of my time. Enjoy it and feel I can control it pretty well.
I am curious about trying to set up a all wood blade just for fun to see how my game would change. I use Dignics 05 both sides. Would use that as well on the all wood blade.
If I look for an all wood that is plenty fast. But light. Easy to control etc. What are some of the BEST all wood blades out there?
If you had to make a list of top 3? And why?
KOKI NIWA WOOD IS UNMATCHED. I played with it a couple weeks bc I borrowed from a friend. It has all the speed you need but also crazy control and spin. The player it's named after is also insane. check out https://revspin.net/top-blade/overall-desc.html
where it is #3!

I enjoy the Joola Xylo 7 and the Tezzo Guardian, Yinhe's 677s as well
I know someone who had a Xylo 5 and Xylo 7 and I liked both. I have the Korbel, Mazunovs (discontinued)and the Szocs Signature One, I recommend the Szocs to most people who want a good all wood blade to play all round offense with the plastic ball. For Butterfly blades, I have the discontinued Hadraw VK and Hadraw VR, the VR is an interesting blade which i might stick some Zyre on some day to try - they were overpriced and are probably worse discontinued. Then I have some Nexy blades, this one I still have is asymmetric in its ply composition. Nexy used to do great testing give aways and I definitely recommend anything they make once you know it suits your style as their quality is generally good.

Long winded post to recommend the Szocs Signature 1...

1 layer of haifu yellow
