Who are the players you enjoy watching the most? and least?

It's obviously a personal preference - but it's interesting to me.

My most favorites :

Simon Gauzy - just a very fun playing style, creative, tends to get into amazing rallies.

Anders Lind - Very unique, very emotional player - surprises you a lot and hard to know what to expect on a given match.

Truls MOREGARD - Again very creative, amazing forehands, chop blocks world leader.

Shunsuke TOGAMI - Just love his crazy powerful attacking style, he never holds back and just gives his max 100%.

Least favorites :

LIANG Jingkun - very good player but just very solid - not many exciting shots, tends to be "ok" at everything.

Benedikt DUDA - Just always feels he plays very Tactical, good smart player but not fun to watch as an objective fan.

Anton KALLBERG - I feel he tends to play very traditionally safe, does everything correct but lacks that special "spark".

What are your thoughts?

Wang Manyu - everything she does is from the table tennis technique teachbook, but she does it with grace.

Sato and Hashimoto as a doubles pair. I just want more of this.

I have to add Filus - but I just wish he won more. His balance and patience are amazing.

And three of the above use the bh serve I am practising.

I like watching the pros, they all do things I could never imagine doing in 10,000 years. Fan Zhendong is my favorite to watch, a trite answer i know, but at his best he makes pros look like they play at normal speed and he is the only pro and that is saying a lot.

These days I find the Japanese players really entertaining. Sora Matsushima when playing well is my favorite at the moment and Harimoto has been for a long time. Hina, Miwa, and Odo as well. List goes on...

Of course, Truls, Hugo, Lebruns, and others you listed are amazing as well. I enjoy Duda, LJK and Kallberg too but I get your point for sure. Perhaps I like them for that reason, disciplined play.

And when Kanak is on a run, nothing compares to it!

Back in the days when I was first starting I really liked watching Chen Qi, Wang Liqin, Werner Schlager, Joo se Hyuk, Michael Maze, an up and coming and already incredible Ma Long.
I would say right now Wang Chuqin has an incredible game, Anders Lind and Moregard who keep games very interesting and have very good feeling. Calderano is a beast, also very nice to watch. I find Tomo Harimoto and Lin Shidong a bit boring. Of the Japanese I love Sora Matsushima and the Koreans are always nice to watch, especially Jang Woojin. Love to see the Lebrun brothers too, especially Alexis.
I have just finished watching the Muscat contender final and Wen Ruibo also looks very nice and exciting, he may be the player China was waiting for!

That's interesting you say Sora "when playing well". It seems when he's not playing well he's like a moping teenager. His shoulders slump, he looks like he can't get out of first gear and gives points away.

I really like watching Hugo. I love watching power players just smack the hell out of the ball. And of course I can't leave out the GOAT. When ML and FangBo in that epic match when they were just crushing the ball all day I really thought they were going to start cracking balls.

I like flair players and BH dominant players. My favorites to watch, in no particular order:

Waldner
Truls
Koki Niwa
Kenta Matsudaira
Gauzy
Xu Xin
Kreanga
Oh Sang Eun
Zhang Jike
Fan Zhendong
Lin Shidong
Joo Sae Huyk
Koji Matsushita
Honoka Hashimoto

Least favorite to watch: myself. Every time I watch myself play it feels like a torture.

I like watching:
FZD, Hugo Calderano, Simon Gauzy (he is Magician - every match no matter he wins/losses is amazing to watch), Darko Jorgic, Truls, Anders Lindt, Tomo Harimoto, Sora, Shunsuke Togami, Lin Yun Ju, Wen Ruibo, Lin Shindong,

Mostly I skip it:
Felix L. (don't know why but he annoys me - sorry his attitude), Filus, all penholder style - I'm not really interested as as shakehander :p so I skip it

Neutral - if there is nothing to watch I can strive it :p
Dima, Duda, Alexis L., Anton K., Freitas, Wcq, Karlson, Jang Woojin and the rest Korean TTplayers, LGK, Franziska, Omar, Aruna

TIMID UMP --- BAD UMP, 🙄
This is the veriest nasty person in my own eyes. No two unlike opinions about this.

-- 📛 Anyone whose serve is only on the margin of the rule or beyond the margin. Most of Chinese would deserve an immediate penalty if the rule properly observed by umpires. Foremost, Umpire must have guts a lot.
