Not everyones a Pro and we don’t change rubber everyday. I change out a lot of rubbers and sometimes I just need to reglue the same rubber to the same blade, sometimes the rubber shrinks and you can’t get a perfect alignment

Here’s my trick on how to perfectly align it. You use food wrap/plastic wrap. The glue will lightly sticks to the wrap but not enough to ruin the glue. I have been using method I found myself for gluing recut rubbers for a good 5 months now.

Example: I scraped the table a lot during a push. I needed to reglue my red rubber but it shrunk a bit. After applying 2 layers to both blade and rubber, I cover the dried glue on the blade with plastic wraps. Then i align the rubber (plastic wraps clear so I can see where im aligning) once im happy, i lifted a small section at the bottom, then glue the rubber and blade only in that small section. Once everything is aligned, i lift the whole wrap and glue as normal. The result always perfect for me.

I hope this helps us regluing rubber easier instead of having to buy new rubber everytimes.

Brilliant idea. Thank you for that. It will help a lot.

When I needed to align the rubber perfectly, I cut stripes of paper, put them from the top to the bottom, so the lower one would slightly cover higher one. Then cut the excess paper so it is exactly like the blade. put rubber, align, and take the bottom one. Stick the rubber, and go higher.

But having a transparent wrap which can be easily bent, is 100x better and easier :D

I actually used to do this, but one time I forgot to remove the paper, so the paper was just in my rubber and I went to train with it lol.

I have been using the same semi transparent sheet for quite a while now. I think it was a protective sheet on Rakza 7? Kind of like baking paper. Absolutely zero stick.
I align, press the bottom centimeter on the blade, then lift the rest of the rubber and roll it down while I pull the sheet out towards the tip of the blade.

Have also used the white plastic protector that's on the sponge side of a H3N but that was harder to see through. Actual baking paper will probably work well too.
Plastic wrap seems relatively messy in comparison

ive used all of it. Everyone got different method, I just prefer plastic wrap bc after you done aligning the rubber. you can lift the bottom of the plastic wrap to glue the rubber sections by sections. Baking sheet works, but I need it to stick a little bit bc some rubber curls and the result is different after gluing. But ty for letting me know

FIX RUBBER SHEETS ONTO THE BLADE LIKE A BOSS

Aliexpress offers a simple translucent device to do the gluing job in the most accurate manner. Inventing a wheel non productive self ocupation

Again, the textile underlayers integrated with OX are now seen back to general vogue again. A great device to promote gluing works by far.

I don't use anything, so I have to remove old glue and reglue all over again. That's my way to training my sense of space :ROFLMAO:
I remove old glue almost every time (except for brittle sponges), the point is aligning the rubber after putting the new glue on, without it sticking immediately so you can correct before making the placement stick.

I usually apply 1 thin layer to each (1 on blade 1 on rubber) - it's bit hard to remove so everytime I want to peel, I have to apply a few more glue layers
