Not everyones a Pro and we don’t change rubber everyday. I change out a lot of rubbers and sometimes I just need to reglue the same rubber to the same blade, sometimes the rubber shrinks and you can’t get a perfect alignment
Here’s my trick on how to perfectly align it. You use food wrap/plastic wrap. The glue will lightly sticks to the wrap but not enough to ruin the glue. I have been using method I found myself for gluing recut rubbers for a good 5 months now.
Example: I scraped the table a lot during a push. I needed to reglue my red rubber but it shrunk a bit. After applying 2 layers to both blade and rubber, I cover the dried glue on the blade with plastic wraps. Then i align the rubber (plastic wraps clear so I can see where im aligning) once im happy, i lifted a small section at the bottom, then glue the rubber and blade only in that small section. Once everything is aligned, i lift the whole wrap and glue as normal. The result always perfect for me.
I hope this helps us regluing rubber easier instead of having to buy new rubber everytimes.
