Could you please elaborate a bit on where you find T19 surpassing T05 and where it falls short in terms of spin generation?

I am contemplating going back to something a bit softer and easier to spin with on my backhand (currently playing with Glayzer) and T19 is among the candidates along with Nittaku C1 and Nuzn 45.

T19 as a grippier and less bouncy Tenergy 05 seems most promising, but if spin is not that great on medium effort loops or if it is difficult lifting and creating arc on backspin balls I might test something else. Thanks
Hi @Barfly , I am coming to T19 from D09c and Zyre so for me, medium effort loops might mean something different vs you, but for me, the quality of medium effort loops has been good. The thing is that it is not jumpy like T05 so you aren't going to get the same spin/speed for the same ease of effort, but I was surprised by the tradeoffs. I have been reintroducing the banana flick aggressively into my game and T19 has helped this quite a bit. The top end of T05 is better but I am not entirely sure the counterlooping is - maybe more spin with T05 but a better feeling of control with T19. But T19 is definitely in between Dignics and Tenergy, the topsheet feels softer than T05 for sure and I think that means ease of spin but the arc is definitely not as high. So no, the spin is not as easy as T05, but for me that is a good thing because everything I care about is better.

Do you really think that the differences between 05 and 19 are that significant?
To me they are pretty much the same. Don't think I would be able to say which is which in a blind test.

T19 feels softer for sure and feels like it holds the ball more. And no, I don't think they are that different for many shots. But the arc on 05 is higher and 05 will be better for people who like harder topsheets and quick ball release while T19 will be better for someone who likes to hold the ball. And ball holding is a Dignics thing.

Many oppenent loses the point on my BH opening loop with T19. Spin is very good. I have not played much with T05, but to me only the top end spin is higher on T05. But you hardly reach this level with BH. For every level of effort extreme top strong effort, T19 is better. Also, the forgiveness and control is higher on T19. Which is very important to me in modern TT, where BH has become prohiminent. Arc is high, maybe slightly lower to T05, I have been struggling with it on high power shot, but I just need practice.

Overall I chose the T19 to improve the opening topspin, and it shines on that. On my innercarbon, i have been able to lift the ball without difficulty. The main downside to the T19 I have found, is on power shot/far from the table. The arc being High and short compared to a T80/64, you will struggle to land the ball over the net. But no rubber is perfect, but a choice on its property. Either a good rubber far from the table, or good close, not both. T19 is better close to the table. Far from the table, it is too soft, and the arc too short too. But who does big rallye on BH far from table outside Top 10 world ranking? Ma Long has won everything with a rubber not meant to be played far from the table in BH.
