Harimoto Innerforce ALC vs Dimitrij Ovtcharov ALC for my new set up?

Hi All, I have got my 2 new rubber Stiga DNA Helix M hardness. People have been telling me it plays very soft so I am at a dilema for whoch blade to buy as if I buy the Harimoto ALC i feel it would just be too arcy and not direct but I also want to mainitain the control of my current blade which is Petr Korbel with G1 both sides.

Harimoto ALC is very soft so with soft rubber you will have a very soft setup overall. Ovtcharov is far harder and faster.

Both are good blades. Ovtcharov is stiffer and more aggressive (bigger upgrade from Korbel), Harimoto is just like Korbel with ALC in it.

Try the rubbers on the Korbel first.
Then you can decide.
But you might be putting the cart before the horse.
Typically, people will change rubbers much more than they change blades.
Wouldn't it make more sense to find the blade you are most comfortable with first?
And then decide what rubbers to use

I would but I dont want to waste a load of money and also a korbel with these soft rubbers will be too soft.

Helix M is pretty medium in hardness, definitely a tic softer than G1 but it's not that soft. And it really depends on what you want- Harimoto will produce a shorter higher arc than the Ovtcharov, but I don't think Ovtcharov is a difficult blade either. Try the rubbers on Korbel first, it its too much arc for you then get Ovtcharov, Harimoto acts more like Korbel than Ovtcharov.

I would but I dont want to waste a load of money

Butterfly blades hold value pretty well especially if you don't put many hours on it, would it be difficult for you to resell the blade if you end up disliking it?

Ovtcharov ALC is fast, but has a deep hold when you swing hard. Harimoto ALC is more tame on passive play, but doesn't stay on the racket as long as the Ovtcharov or Korbel on hard impacts.

If people want to get really granular…. The Harimoto is slower and feels “softer” or more “woody”.

The Ovtcharov feels MORE like a classic outer carbon blade - There’s still a bit more woody feel, but it is definitely faster than the Harimoto.

So I’d base it purely on speed.

Closest to an outer ALC, pick the Ovtcharov.

Slower and more woody - Harimoto.

So I’d base it purely on speed.

Slower and more woody - Harimoto.

While they are broadly for offensive players, they are not that similar, no. Harimoto blades really absorb to the ball to a degree that not everyone will like. They have a much bigger pillow dynamic that any Butterfly carbon blade I have ever played with.
