A better forum via better moderation

Why didn't you just move those posts (pointing to evidence of your misfeasance) over here as BlopChock requested, but had to tell us to post them on our own volition (and threatened me of moderation action by DM)? I can't shake the feeling that you intended to set a trap for us to step in and have the moral high ground "how merciful of me to give you a chance"?

You have a history of moving posts and threads when it was convenient to you and OTOH removing them when it wasn't.

If you have such numerous issues with the way things are done in here why don't you set up your own forum or just go and post somewhere else?

You are someone from a place that doesn't allow discussion, and you are (at this stage) actually abusing the fact that some places actually encourage tolerance and discussion.

A bit like the type of immigrants who come into the US and UK who seem to hate those places and vociferously shit on the US and UK, completely ignoring the paradox and beauty of the fact that they are in a society that actually allows them to voice their opinions in the first place. So actually, the fact that they can project loud and outward criticisms actually disproves many of their points to begin with.

TLDR: make some effort to respect people and the different culture from which they have come and you won't be so quick to assume the negative thing every time they do something differently than you would ideally like.

I'm rather in zeio camp.

He's the one making efforts to gather info from Chinese / Japanese source and translate it in english for the international public.

agree or not with his conclusions, one should at least respect his efforts to present us the raw facts.
this forum would feel much more empty without his contributions. No one else is putting as much effort.

Regarding Hayata, as a JNT fan, ofc i've been rooting for her all along and i did believe for a while she would be Japanese best chance against China and get sometime a gold medal against China.

Well it didn't happen in OG Tokyo 2021 where she wasn't even in the lineup. she got "only" singles bronze in WTTC2023 and OG Paris2024. She didn't play the historical Asian Champ team final this year.

Its a fact she injured badly her wrist during the OG QF- as Zeio reported quite early, and its unfortunately likely her best performances are over, she might even quit TT sooner rather than later. I'm afraid she'll be knocked out early at Zennihon.

Fortunately, even if there is no Ito or Hayata, there's plenty of talented young ladies in Japan who will have their go.

Why would a rs40 ball with less spin help Ovtcharov? I can understand why Qiu Dang and LSD losing as they do play with more spin then power due to the Penhold grip

It's an inside joke on those players who complain all the time, especially QD. There is a Tieba thread on QD complaining again after losing here.

On the moderation side I don't think the complainers give enough though to the difficulty of the job.
You didn't have issues with previous or other mods so it really looks like your personal impressions are affecting your view here and so you are mixing your personal judgement of someone with their, what should be separate, job of moderating.

Such details matter, @mamedium , I have explained why I do what I do even if you dont agree with it. Making it sound like i deleted it because I didn't want people to see it isn't your intent, hopefully?

Moderators:
1) Don't engage in a thread that you have moderated (in any form) other than to indicate it was moderated and under which rule. It would be a good personal policy to not post in any thread or topic in which you have acted in a Mod capacity. Ignore the bait. ime, this can require quite a bit of maturity (which i freely admit i lack).
2) When you must moderate, do so dispassionately, putting any personal opinions on thread content aside. You must represent authority and not just another poster or someone who likes to argue.
3) Handle it off the boards. This should be Option #1 every single time. If the poster takes it public afterwards, then its on him.
3) Newer Mods should closely watch more experienced Mods in how they operate. The best Mods are the ones that people never notice.
4) For the sake of all that's holy, don't drive good people away unnecessarily- that is the exact opposite of what you are a Mod for.

Posters: try not to intentionally bait/poke the Mods or see how far you can push things. They are here to help even when they disagree with you.

I've tried to wait for a time in this thread where it didn't look like I was taking a side. I really have no interest in this discussion except as it relates to the health of the forum.

I really don't have time to read links so I will not. If you have anything to say, say it here. Otherwise, athletes get paid to win matches, they can make any excuses they want. When you show me your salary for ranking Uda and Togami and the consequences for failing to do so appropriately, I will cut you the same slack.

You're not fit to be a moderator with that kind of behavior. That's all. Part of the reason I turned down the moderator offer at MyTT had to do with my bashing Ishikawa, which would get in the way.
