While I was watching kanak game, I realized that his forhandtopspin has less backswing than other players, what is the reason? Is this good?

He is smaller than most players so his relative emphasis is on speed over power. That said, his backswing isn't that small, many player focus on the arm when looking at swing size and not the lower body. Also he will change the size of the stroke relative to how much time he has to launch the ball.

I think he clearly have racket higher than most other players. Maybe due to length but i think primarly so he can play faster. If you drop racket between strokes it takes much more time. Same with smaller backswing. I do feel that he lose some power and not as good at generating own power compared to other pros. Also feel it much strain the body since it is harder to relax.

Ah okay - Hugo is much taller and bigger. Gauzy was born in France where there is a tradition of table tennis. Kanak is the best ever modern player from North America. He has gone further than anyone who is from North America and he has wins over both Hugo and Simon.

Table tennis is really hard. Saying why someone can't go far is not as easy as you might think. Someone can watch Gatien and say he can't go far without a backhand. It is never that simple.

My apologies, yes his size/power makes leaving the table mostly suicidal, he can't beat good players from distance.

Most likely due to his size. He need to use counter-drive ( borrow opponent force ) as he probably cannot generate the kind of power relatively to larger player ( e.g. Franziska, Omar Assar et al ).
