Even Shunsuke Togami does it. For pretty much the same reason: he has D09C on his FH right now, and he twiddles to the red Z03 for smashing lobs to maximize speed.

However, one thing still confuses me, and perhaps it's due to my misunderstanding of FH/BH equipment suitability in the context of the mechanical differences in strokes. I always thought that FH is supposed to be the side with higher power ceiling, or the higher gear. BH is supposed to be speed oriented, yes, but it's supposed to be easier speed, meaning good speed at moderate input power, but lower power ceiling.
Now, in the lob smashing situation, isn't this precisely when power ceiling in the most extreme case matters? Does this not contradict the notion that BH rubbers have lower power ceiling?
