I think there is a lot more to even doing step 1 than you appreciate.I think you're overcomplicating it really.
1. Transfer weight by rotating hips from right leg to left leg
2. Try to hit the ball at its peak
3. Aim to hit through/brush the top of the ball (or top+back if you want more lift against heavy backspin)
Then practice it against block/slower paced multiball.
Fine tuning comes after you can consistently land shots with good power. When you do those 3 things correctly and get a feel for it, it also starts to become a lot easier to adjust in match to more awkward angle, height or length.
