“Don't get booster onto your hands (the heptadecane is a poison and will give you nerve damage long-term) and absolutely do not get it in your lungs or stomach or it will kill you, or at best they need to pump them for chemical pneumonia. Don't get it in your eyes either. I suggest nitrile gloves for a first-time user until your technique is precise enough that you don't get it onto your hands. Probably good idea to watch out with the brush and keep the bottle under your head.”

OK. Good to know. FK that 4 a laugh.
I have kids in the house and I’m known to be a bit of a calamity on occasion.
Fastarc looks a good option for me.
Maybe a Rakza hard version.

They have warnings for that stuff on the bottles, but it's heavily downplayed. They say it's nontoxic and safe and environmentally friendly and I just don't buy it.

Haifu and I'm sure many others are relatively dangerous stuff. It's not olive oil. The oil itself is probably relatively ok, but there's additives which are poisonous in small doses. I don't understand all of it, but stuff like heptadecane is bad enough. It's mainly an aspiration hazard, and it's categorized as "may be fatal if enters airways or swallowed".

They're not gonna need to amputate your hands if you touch it and you can probably get away with getting some in your eyes, but in general I would be careful. I'm not aware of anyone being hospitalized from the stuff, but you don't wanna be the first!

The worst scenario I can think of is the kids getting to it and drinking some of it for fun. I'm not gonna give you parenting advice on how to prevent that and whatever but it is a scenario that could happen theoretically.

Fastarc G-1 is an overall great rubber, super durable and low maintenance too, the opposite of boosted rubbers. :p

I’m good.
Just thought an experiment might be fun.
Probably I can still win matches using a tensor.
I think it’s possible 😂

The only reason I boost is because H3 is incredibly super mega amazing but it benefits greatly from even one layer. If it wasn't for H3, I wouldn't bother at all. There's plenty of just fine rubbers out there; most of them in fact.

I thought I liked this Saturn S-1 but did a block comparison session on multiball yesterday and the Rakza 7 was far and away better.
This is where I win many points so it’s crucial for me. I like to practice all techniques but in the match I steer the opponents loops where they don’t want it.
Rakza was getting me a lot of wins by this method but I do not feel in control in the short game with it and cannot serve short.
Imma try to use it into winter and keep comparing as a fun project. Then maybe go for a hard variant of Rakza or G-1

If you like R7 but don't like it in the short game or for service, I recommend checking out Nuzn 48. If Fastarc G1 is like the more aggressive tightened-up brother of R7, then Nuzn48 is like the lightly hybrid-flavored step-brother of G1 and R7. I think they all do a lot of the same things well, but where R7 is best in arc and control and G1 is deadliest in active topspin, Nuzn48 takes the cake for me for secure feeling in soft touch and ease of spin.

Excellent. Next year’s rubbers pretty much decided then. Thanks to this forum.
