Hi, there is a difficulty in reading text due to the dark background. But the pictures are awesome. By the way, yogi_bear, I wanted to thank you since your review of Tibhar Stratus Power Wood has helped in my all wood blade selection. Many thanks to you!

It's on specials!

Hi fellow members who are into Stiga blades, it's on specials right now at tabletennis11 for this week I think/or until stock runs out (they only have straight and anatomic handles left but I will bet with the price offered that almost all stock will disappear soon).

The emerald vps also has some collector's value as I understand it's made for Stiga's 70th anniversary.

As yogi has mentioned in her excellent review, it has better quality than most previous commercial Stiga blades.

I have just ordered a straight handle one, so better buy it quick if you want to get a bargain :)

Thanks yogi as well for the comprehensive and high quality review, I have had a quick hit with it from a friend but he wouldn't let me play with it for very long :( I am getting my own now hehe

@yogi_bear could anybody ask a company to get a temporary sample of blade/rubber for a review or do you have a special case. I know (or at least I think) you have a sponsorship from adidas but do you have any deal with stiga? Another great review :)

Stiga is the first ever company I have reviewed for, it's the same with Tibhar, Joola (local distributor gives me), Nexy, Adidas and soon to be added XVT.

it's worlds apart from infinity vps. despite the coating on the infinity, it doesn't feel really that stiff. infinity is slower by a mile compared to the emerald and lacks power in shots.

Hi Yogi_bear, sorry to ask an off topic question but do you have any tips/suggestions on managing the blade weight? Please let me explain, I have added Donic Bluefire m2 on both sides, however, I feel the setup to be quite heavy. Will this feeling subside with practice or should I do something about it?
Also, I tried adding grip tape (a very thin layer) since the FL handle is rounded and not squared, I am afraid that the racket will fly off from my hand if I swing hard. Your suggestions are welcomed!

KM1976, have you weighed your setup? if it weighs 185 grams and up then it is heavy. if it is 185 and below it isn't heavy but maybe head heavy wherein the weight goes towards the tip of the blade head. A grip tape is ok. some people i have seen added some weight on the handle if the blade is head heavy. also try removing if you have any sidetapes.

please do not make me envious of the weight!!!

Lol......but I had to pay for mine ;)

I'm a two wing looper and played the Rosewood V and Boll ZLF for about 2 years. I'm hoping the Emerald will give me some extra power.
Just received shipment confirmation, so blade should arrive in just a few days. Will post a review after few weeks of playing.

Nice review!:) I really hope it to have good durability in comparison with Infinity VPS.
