  1. Politics - Any and All Political Discussions Not Really Related to TT

While I can see the value in having an off-topic section for people to discuss other interest or passions that they have, I personally think there should be a forum rule against discussing politics on a table tennis forum. The reason is that discussions on politics is always divisive...
  2. Migrating from VS401 to something else

I've used the VS 401 in all thicknesses. In 1.8mm or 2,0mm is has plenty of speed for offensive play, so that's not a bad option. Although the rubber has a hard sponge, the topsheet is quite soft, which makes it feel a lot softer.
  3. Illegal Rubbers at Iberoamerican Master — No Equipment Control?

The cost of testing equipment and staff is usually simply too high to be practical at most tournaments. I can't say I've ever seem 'incompliant sponge structures' as you describe, nor do I know if they can actually offer an advantage. Extra thickness can be deceptive to judge visually...
  4. TSP Triple Spin Chop Replacement

The Triple Spin Chop was super tacky (sticky) though, I don't think the Secret flow is nearly as tacky.
  5. Make Joola Great Again (with Pickleball?)

Products like Golden Tango, or even the original Tango if you remember that one, had quite a niche but steady following in many circles. The margins may be lower on these products, but as long as Joola does not lose money in the these, there can be value in keeping them going, as the brand gets...
  6. Interesting how things change - while everything stays the same

While I mostly agree with you, I find that Tenergy (05) is also one of the easiest rubbers to spin the ball with, and heavy spin at that. I know some players at mid-club level, that really lifted their level when changing to T05 when it first came out, because they were getting so much more spin...
  7. Victas Rubber Cutter

Looks nice, although I does not really offer many advantages over the box-cutter or scalpel, which you can also run along the blade edge. I wonder if the blades are replacable?
  8. Do Butterfly blades need sealing?

I've noticed that they're barely sealed in recent years, much less than compared to say 5+ years ago. It's easily noticed when you apply glue...when it's sealed well it spreads easily because it's not absorbed by the blade, but for the more recent blades I can feel the glue soaking in...
  9. Dignics 09C – Serious Quality Issue NOT STICKY ? Let’s Talk About It.

I'm going to keep an eye out for this for the rubbers I glue. I glue these regularly for others (shop), but I can test the off-cuts to see if they're tacky. We get different batches in Australia, but if Butterfly Japan have made a change to the rubber, it should become obvious everywhere.
  10. Dignics 09C – Serious Quality Issue NOT STICKY ? Let’s Talk About It.

I've used 09C in the past, and managed to keep the initial stickiness by using the adhesive protection sheet it came with, but it didn't get stickier over time, despite a rigorous cleaning process. What protection sheet did you use? Did you use a cleaner?
  11. Inverted rubbers by Pips / Antispin companies

Most (all?) are made in China, so it's probably best to compare them to other Chinese-made rubbers.
  12. Donic D1 rubber by ZJK

"Seleted"? I assume they mean "selected", but to make a spelling mistake???
  13. Hybrid rubber comparison (and durability)

I've heard similar claims about the Donic J series, I wonder if they're similar in that respect?
