hitting net a lot after boosting hurricane 3

So i just reboosted by hurricane 3 (well technically i did boost it once but like 1 coat so it basically did nothing) and like i did 3 thin-medium layers on forehand and 4 thin-medkium layers on backhand, h3 prov bs 39˚ fh and h3 soft 37˚ bh and now when i play like the feeling is completly differnt and like i find myself hitting the net like eery forehand drive iu do compared to my technique before. No matter what adjustments i make iu still cnat seem to hit it fast. Also it lost a lot of feeling after a boosted and definitely quite a bit faster. Could it be becuase i overboosted it? or like what are some adjustments i need to make?

Try remove the glue from the sponges and then reglue. A lot of time the oil sip into the sponge and not fully evaporate, potentially damage the glue and give inconsistent feeling when you play.

Evaporate?
If I spill a smudge (yellow haifu) on the table, that smudge is still there and liquid 3 days later. Not much evaporation going on there.
The oil is supposed to get into the sponge...

So I think I'm reading something wrong here?

It mainly sip into the sponge, but the residue oil on top of the sponge does evaporate, abeit slowly. Direct contact with the oil will ruin the glue, afaik.

Some boosters evaporate, some don't. A drop of haifu white II on a glass surface can evaporate for 2 weeks. Same as baby oil or liquid paraffin. Same as the small oil content in revolution 3 rubber cleaner. Falco platinum doesn't evaporate at room temperature - drop of it remains the same for more than 3 months.

The booster is in the rubber but some of the oils are "free" to go into the glue and change it. Especially for over boosted rubbers.

Btw, 4 layers on H3 37 sounds extreme to me. My H3N 38 OS starts to lose accuracy with 3.

it. got better. i realised playing with unboosted hurriacne 3 required like full power (100%) for like a driev or a loop. now its a lot eaiser not needing to. its easier to play far distance as well now.
Yep, you got it.
I only ever apply a single layer of booster to my H3 and also same when i used rubbers like Rxton 5.
I feel this does not really boost the sponge, just kinda wakes it up a bit and that is all it needs, the rest is technique.

After boosting it needs to be played for a bit to be broken in. It plays like trash before that happens.

Where the h... comes the light on the edge from??? Anybody please explain to me... ;-)

Shot at the right angle I would say. On a sealed blade or with a weaker glue or as it seems to be here cut with some overhang the edges bend upward when properly boosted ;)

It'll do that without being boosted too. Weak Norisuke-san glue + not enough of it + overhang. :)

EDIT: These are factory-boosted versions, though, so I guess there is some light boosting.

People loudly proclaim that adhering the rubbers to the blade using rubber cement and using the bat the next day after all the possible VOCs have gassed off is likened to bloody murder punishable by tasking a happy individual to cut your thing off with a blowtorch and cauterize the remaining stub with a hot iron...

... but all the while gloat about how great it is to tune H3 or whatever and doing that is like the revolution vs the ITTF Freedom Fighter Medal of Honor Award kind of stuff... and share it on the forums 133 times on Sunday.

If a player does not know how to tune H3, that playa outta go figure out how to be both a lousy clear hypocrite and a big fat cheater on hiz own. (assuming such a player plays in sanctioned play anywhere on this planet.

If such a player does not ever play in sanctioned play, then that player should feel free to dip hiz wick into all the tuning oil he can handle.
