  1. Anyone notice Fan Zhendong using red rubber on forehand

Just watching Karlson vs Fan (Dortmund-Saarbrücken) on YouTube. Fan uses the red rubber on his forehand constantly. No blue sponge visible.
  2. Researching the DHS Hurricane rubbers

🤔 ... as I'm 66 and retired now, I got the recommendation, to use H8 instead of H3. Is it really a more helpful, forgiving rubber? I still feel strong, but I'm losing the ability, to keep relaxed with strong topspins. Also, as I'm playing in a lower amateur league, most of my opponents avoid a...
  3. Hurricane 3 or Hurricane 3 Neo

Oh. If I misread - sorry.
  4. Hurricane 3 or Hurricane 3 Neo

Completely disagree. Even my oldest H3 Neo, that I kept for years, are tacky as hell. After cleaning, they lift the ball with ease.
  5. DHS fans unite!

Quick answer, as I’m still at the club. I’m from Germany. Since years I buy at 247tabletennis. He’s from Hongkong. H3 provincial blue sponge - $45.
  6. Finally grasped the essence of table tennis biomechanical principle Chinese style! (Chain reaction of power from the ground) (UPDATED AGAIN)

But that's not enough. Take a look at Fang Bo coaches etc.. I'm not talking about perfectionism but a technical correct shot. The energy you put to the ball is based on rotation and weight transfer. Both forces should point to the direction you want to play to. So with pivot > diagonal, you...
  7. Finally grasped the essence of table tennis biomechanical principle Chinese style! (Chain reaction of power from the ground) (UPDATED AGAIN)

Your feet are almost parallel. That's incorrect. After pivoting, your left foot has to be in front, clearly! Based on the 90° of the edge of the table, you should put your body to 45°.
  8. Best rubber for Long 5 BH

Thanks for your explanation. Meanwhile, I got a new Hybrid MK and put it to my BH. As it is Max instead of 2.0 I used in the past, I was wondering about a kind of "keeping" feeling at times. Your description shows another reason. Maybe I need to make a try with 2.0 again. In general, the L5X...
  9. Best rubber for Long 5 BH

Thanks. As my LAA got damaged when taking off from another blade, I chose the D80. Let's see tomorrow. 🤩
  10. Best rubber for Long 5 BH

Hi there, maybe I'm lucky with some quick advices. I switched from Illusionkiller to DHS 301X some weeks ago. As I was looking for a backup racket, I was wondering if I could get a Long 5 (at least a must-have for a fan of Chinese table tennis). Interestingly, there is a wide range about the...
  11. Help me to choose new dhs blade

I'm a bit confused with the data I read on TTGearLab. There, the HL5X is really different to the 301X, I returned to since some weeks. Clearly slower. Is this what people here say too? Another question for me is the difference between the basic HL5X and the W968 provincial. Is it worth the...
  12. United States Smash 2025, Las Vegas, 7/3-13

I'm a bit tired to read all the thread. Is there any info out, why we cannot watch (live) streams of the main draw matches, as we could during qualification?
  13. Any recommendation for table tennis shoes for wide feet 2E?

I found out, Mizuno Drive 9 is much more wide than Drive 8.
  14. Resonate AI - where to buy

I'm still interessted in getting a Yasaka Resonate AI. The best purchase I saw is from Japan (tt-japan). I usually do my purchases abroad using Wise (former Transferwise). Best exchangerate with low fees and lightning fast. tt-japan uses PayPal and I had no success to make them accept Wise...
  15. DHS H301z to replace my Samsonov Force Pro Black Edition?

Since last Wednesday I'm giving another try to my 301X. Last time I moved, cause it felt too fast. I switched to the TSP Balsa 6.5 (old version!), then after a while moved to the Illusion Killer from Tibhar. This was the best feeling of a blade (using H3) I ever had. But the balsa core needs a...
  16. Best Chinese Alternatives to D09c Tier List

For me, it depends on your personal feeling AND the booster. I completely agree what ThePongProfessor is giving as a result of his tests. Falco Tempo Long > 3 layers. Booster Test
  17. Feedback on forehand topspin

For me, your body is missing. Your shot almost 100 % is based on your upper arm (Shoulder). Take a look at the thread Perfect Forehand. Completely relax, don't focus on speed or power.
  18. Finally grasped the essence of table tennis biomechanical principle Chinese style! (Chain reaction of power from the ground) (UPDATED AGAIN)

I should have made a general reply. Wasn’t directly to your post. One can clearly see the way to hit the ball @ Ma Long
  19. Hybrid rubbers vs tensors: difference in looping techniques?

At „Table tennis teaching channel“ they describe this stuff very well. Improve is one of the related movies, but there are more. I like the phrase: eat the ball 😎
