  1. Hurricane 3 + protective films

This is the problem with DHS...good seller but they are still having to buy it from somewhere. Over time as you buy new H3 rubbers you will start to understand. Something is definitely not right with what is happening with yours.... potentially your cleaning product has not dried completely...
  2. Hurricane 3 + protective films

DHS stuff is all over the place. Hard to know if it is real or not and this includes the rubbers themselves. Are the covers sticky? General with H3 it is best to use non sticky cover sheets after cleaning, and you can put a small drop of water on the rubber in the middle before putting non...
  3. Sleeping after a late TT session

It is particularly a factor if you are doing high intensity training regularly as your bodies hormones become a factor. If you do really intense training either late at night or early in the morning regularly....your body adapts and starts to fire up your hormones so you are ready and alert. A...
  4. Sleeping after a late TT session

Now this is the curse of late sessions and large tournaments running over time. Very difficult to manage. The week in week out fixtures and training are difficult, but at tournaments, when you need to back up the next morning, it is a nightmare. Personally, I use a strong sleep-focused magnesium...
  5. Yasaka Myth (New Collection?)

Anyone know what happened to the Resonate AI blade?
  6. Why are dignics09C considered not suitable for beginners/intermediate players ?

Haha, literally about to glue it onto a blade to see what it is like. Only free blade I have is a power focused blade as well so should be interesting!!!!
  7. Why are dignics09C considered not suitable for beginners/intermediate players ?

Really! I have never had a true tacky D09C and I am on my 4th and have people playing with it around me and they are the same. My H3s on the other hand, very tacky, walk around the room with the ball level. I still think when used correctly the D09C is the fastest rubber I have ever used. I am...
  8. Why amateur players should avoid fast gear and where power really comes from in table tennis.

Sounds like we have both had the same experience with the D09C and G09C.
  9. Why are dignics09C considered not suitable for beginners/intermediate players ?

Good advice. Not all rubber experience is the same for every person.
  10. Why are dignics09C considered not suitable for beginners/intermediate players ?

Everyone is a world champion warming up with the D09C :)
  11. Why are dignics09C considered not suitable for beginners/intermediate players ?

I A big difference is that the H3 is actually Tacky while the 09C is more grip based with a very very slight tack when it is new (Suspiciously like the adhesive cover is what gave it any small big of tack). Personally, I don't view it as a tacky rubber and think this is more market talk. The...
  12. Reading Spin + Tactics

He starts his motion with his hand stationary above the table.....and has had problems throughout his career with his serve being called fault.....
  13. Reading Spin + Tactics

Yeah, they are still having a stationary moment in the serve process. Hiding the ball, ball toss height, spin on the ball, closed hand, etc., yeah, we all see this. But below the table to toss without being stationary, next level. And as I said, this would be very difficult for the OP to read...
  14. Reading Spin + Tactics

He will be faulted by any qualified ref and high-level players are not going to tolerate a serve that starts with the ball below the table and then never has a stationary moment. The bad ball toss and the attempted spin on the ball people can get away with, but the never-stationary part is not...
  15. Reading Spin + Tactics

Yeah, definitely not a fan of this type of thing. This player would be faulted out of the game at any decent level competition. The routine is all just to create stress on players still learning. I really don't like this stuff as it just kills the confidence for the player trying to learn.
  16. Reading Spin + Tactics

I wouldn't be too hard on yourself about the returning the serve in this one. Literally ever serve is a fault.
  17. What serve should I use?

Don't be afraid to do a short underspin FH serve as well. Since you are doing a pendulum serve you can use it without changing your setup at the start.and catch your opponent out positionally. If you do a pendulum serve then change to a backhand server...can be predictable which serve you are...
  18. Why amateur players should avoid fast gear and where power really comes from in table tennis.

The ultimate challenge and endless debate of table tennis is about the best rubber...when the question should be the "right rubber".. everyone's setup is personal to their individual level and how they play and want to play.
  19. Why amateur players should avoid fast gear and where power really comes from in table tennis.

Good read. I call the 09C the confidence killer for developing players. If you can't hit through it to activate the sponge, then it is an expensive bit of rubber that destroys your game :)
  20. New to PIPS! Some questions!

Der Materialspezialist could be an option? I just recently played against two of their rubbers for the first time, and it did a lot to the ball. I normally find long pips fairly easy to play against, but I did find these rubbers (player) difficult to play against as they were doing a lot to the...
