  1. Boosted Rxton 3 Pink/Blue?

For its price, I would have no problem replacing it once a month. I can get like 8 of them for the price of a sheet of D09C, lol. On a more serious note, I would love a harder Rxton 3, so 54d sounds nice. I find D09C a tad too soft to my liking. Only if it can maintain the grip, though.
  2. Boosted Rxton 3 Pink/Blue?

Today I tried the Rxton 3 Blue boosted with one layer of Haifu national black oil on my BH, and it worked wonder there. I don't need to adjust much my strokes compared to the usual D09C, except some angles here and there to account for the lower arcs compared to those of D09C. It's a tad slower...
  3. Xiom 36.5 ALXi vs An Jaehyun TMXi PRO

My ALXi's top plies are just too thin, it feels like an outer carbon blade, but a very bad one. In short, it doesn't have the speed of an outer carbon blade and doesn't have the feeling of inner carbon blade. The ball quality is just meh. Here are some pics comparing the thickness of the blades...
  4. Counterloop practice

If you look at how LGY counter close to the table you will see his stokes are much shorter versus when he is further away, both on forehand and backhand. Especially, look at the position of his paddle at the start of each loop.
  5. Xiom 36.5 ALXi vs An Jaehyun TMXi PRO

I have an ALXi and it's my least favorite inner carbon blade ever. Maybe I got a sour lemon, as my ALXi is just around 5.6mm, but it's bad enough that I won't try any other Xiom blades in foreseeable future.
  6. Counterloop practice

You either stay close to the table and do short and quick counterloops, like Ma Lin or Lin Gaoyuan; or anticipate and move back quickly to do full stroke shots. It's near impossible to do full swing counterloops close to the table, given that you will have very little time to react. It takes...
  7. New Blade Journey and Jinshi KLC

My Jinshi KLCPro quality is top notch, on par with any higher end blades that I've owned. Also, once you get use to it, it's very easy to hit through the blade and get full power/spin. It's now my main blade, replacing my trusty Viscaria, which I never imagined would happen at all.
  8. Toronto Table Tennis?

I visited the CCTTA a while back, 9-10 years ago. The club was very spacious and there are players at every level. When I was there, there were some national junior girls practiced in the hall I believe. It was far away from the down town of Toronto, though. Took a few connecting buses and...
  9. Post your latest EJ purchase

Been looking for a tacky rubber in blue but couldn't find one so testing the "semi-tacky" Sanwei Gear Hyper now. So far everything is nice, except sometimes I miss the tackiness during looping exchanges.
  10. New Xiom blades?

Just release the TMXi pro with no player name attached and I will get one, pretty please :(
  11. New Blade Journey and Jinshi KLC

I've been switching back and forth between the So-ten and the Jinshi KLC Pro past two weeks and in fact the KLC pro is my to go blade now. It's crispier, faster than the So-ten on low effort shots, a bit slower on highest gear, but still very fast and spinny. I feel like this blade is more...
  12. China National team did suffer badly over high air humidity.

Not sure if this is a factor, but indeed the Chinese tacky rubbers are more likely to be affected by high humidity compared to BTY/ESN rubbers. In my area, sometimes we get like 90%+ of relative humidity and doing FH loops is near impossible in that condition. The balls just slip on the rubber...

Got a Jinshi KLC Pro from China. Can't wait to try it out tomorrow. My 6th inner carbon blade within 6 months...
  14. New Blade Journey and Jinshi KLC

Well, I got some help from OpenAI and got the video roughly translated. Apparently the CCPro uses some sort of super ALC fibers instead of KLC. It's harder and crispier than the KLC pro, but the top speed is not as high. It looks more beautiful imo, though. Decision time, hahaha.
  15. New Blade Journey and Jinshi KLC

Thank you, I saw the video but couldn't understand a word, unfortunately :(
  16. New Blade Journey and Jinshi KLC

Apparently Jinshi also have another inner carbon blade, the CCPro. Has anyone tried this? What are the differences between the KLC Pro and the CC Pro? Thank you.
  17. Blades that are similar to DHS W968

The 75 Inner top ply is Koto while Vita's top ply is Limba. The Vita is a near identical blade to Long 5X composition-wise and playing characteristics-wise. In term of raw speed, W968 < Vita < 75 Inner, but the spin and ball quality of W968 > Vita > 75 Inner. The 75 Inner feels hardest among...
  18. SDC Handmade Blades

On the queue since May or June and time can't fly fast enough. Really can't wait to my turn :D
  19. SANWEI NEW BLADE EX-C Verdi and EX-C Verdi Inner!

@Andrea Jiang is the Sanwei Vita ALC the domestic version of the Verdi Inner blade? Thanks.
  20. New Blade Journey and Jinshi KLC

Thank you for the information. From what you said, the Pro version suits me more as I can generate enough power my own and would prefer more control, but I guess I'll wait to see their new line up. I have enough outer carbon blades already so will skip their line of (super) ALC blades, haha.
