  1. New Blade Journey and Jinshi KLC

There seems to be a Pro version of the Jinshi KLC. Could anyone tell me what are the difference between the two blades that this guy was saying? Thank you
  2. Upcoming Harimoto Super ALC

The BTY English site for the blade is up https://www.butterfly-global.com/en/product/harimoto_super_alc/ Wishing for BTY to release the regular Innerforce Super ALC without player names, haha.
  3. Best way to return short serves?

I flick everything coming to my BH, as I can win pretty much 90% of BH to BH rallies against my club mates except for few semi pros there, and take all the flicks I miss as learning opportunities. On the FH side, if the ball is high enough then I do FH flicks; otherwise, I will try to place the...
  4. How much booster do the pro CNT members use?

Power of knowledge, lol. Basically after gluing and cutting, I clamped down the bat after gluing with a stack of books for like 2 hours. You have to press the rubber hard before and during cutting as well.
  5. How much booster do the pro CNT members use?

This is my rubber after 3 layers of Haifu black oil, and I glued it when it was still curled like crazy
  6. First Hurricane attempt

That's essentially what I was saying, haha. You need suitable technique for H3, not that H3 is slower than D09C. In fact, I play with both rubbers and H3 is faster if you can fully engage the sponge.
  7. First Hurricane attempt

H3 requires somewhat different technique to achieve max speed compared to ESN/BTY rubber when looping. The technique is not harder, just different. Once you get use to it, H3 is nearly irreplaceable. If H3 is just once percent worse than ESN/BTY rubbers for looping to looping exchanges, there is...
  8. Post your latest EJ purchase

I asked for a 92g and they had no problem finding me one. I guess it's not that hard of a request.
  9. First Hurricane attempt

H8-80 is an excellent BH rubber for inner carbon blades if you boost and can handle the weight. Compared to D09C, it's harder to engage the sponge on low effort shots, i.e. slower, has lower arc, but it's spinnier and the top speed is faster. On the BH side, I feel like it's easier for me to...
  10. FZD ALC or HL5X or HL5 with D09C

His level is probably higher than most of us here, so I guess he could just get whatever he feel like most and still play well with it. A FZD ALC will not be much different from his viscaria, so if he want to try something new, probably a Long 5X will be a better choice. Better FH feelings than...
  11. fzd alc forehand rubber

D09C would be a suitable choice if you can get use to hybrid rubbers. Very high arc, spinny, relatively fast, and of course is the most durable BTY rubber in the Dignics and Tenergy series.
  12. Blades that are similar to DHS W968

I've tried many inner carbon blades past few months, to name a few here: - Sanwei 75 inner - Sanwei 75 inner PBO - Sanwei Vita ALC - Xiom 36.5 ALXi - Nittaku So-ten So far, my favorite is the So-ten. Composition-wise, it's really close to the W968, please refer to the attached picture here. The...
  13. Recommended BH rubbers for an inner carbon blade

I've been using a sheet of boosted H8-80 on my inner KLC blade, Nittaku So-ten, and it works great. Good spin and top end speed is high as well. Not so good with low effort loop, but control, blocking, short game are good. Still, for BH, I much prefer D09C on my Viscaria, haha
  14. Can't find the right rubber for my FH

I played the Barwell Fleet a while back with MX-P on both sides. Very good speed and spin. Can't quite remember if the topsheet is harder than that of G1, though.
  15. Post your latest EJ purchase

Well, turned out my intuition is wrong. It's nearly identical to the 5X. Plays quite nice, powerful enough and quite balanced on both FH and BH. The handle is wider than the 75 inner, but still feels small compared to, say, the Viscaria. The Nittaku So-ten remains my favorite inner carbon blade...

It's really don't expect it to plays exactly like Long V or Long 5x at all. For one it's way thinner. I don't have the exact measurement, but from the side tapes I usually use, the thickness is between 5.6mm and for sure is less than 6.0mm. Also the handle is wider than the usual DHS' ones, so...
  17. Post your latest EJ purchase

Just received the Sanwei Vita ALC - Sanwei's Long V structure clone I guess. The finishing is way better than the Inner 75 PBO, but I still sealed the hell of it. The handle is a bit rounder than those of the 75 series. Here are some pics
  18. Paris Olympic Games 2024

Broadly speaking, no sport is safe, especially when you're pushing for human boundaries like elite athletes. One could argue Zhang Jike's techniques are near perfect, but he had really bad back injuries during his career as well.
  19. Advice on DHS rubbers.

You should boost it, but don't over do. 39 deg is soft already for the FH, boosting too much then it'll feel mushy.
  20. Advice on DHS rubbers.

In my opinion, if you wanna use DHS rubber on FH side, then you should stick with H3N. Boosted H3 Neo should play as fast as any rubber in the market if you have the compatible (not right or wrong, just compatible) technique. Even for regular unboosted H3N, if it feels too slow then may be you...
