  1. Hammond Z2 Special or Omega 8 Euro/Pro for Acoustic Inner?

I described it earlier: Z2 Special (soft) is a very bouncy 47 tensor but with a clear speed limit, a bit grippier, a bit higher arc, without the "click" that Z2 (hard) has on powerful shots. Spin, blocking, and dwell time are about the same. The main advantage of Z2 Special (soft) is that it is...
  2. Hammond Z2 Special or Omega 8 Euro/Pro for Acoustic Inner?

I have only tried R45 from the 3 rubbers you mentioned, and it's way too different compared to Z2 S. R45 has a higher arc, better "thin grip", and less catapult effect--I would describe it as an old textbook tensor rubber for backhand. Z2 S is better if you apply a wider/stronger swing during...
  3. Hammond Z2 Special or Omega 8 Euro/Pro for Acoustic Inner?

Dunno why, but my regular Z2 is about 1-2g lighter than G1, although G1 feels softer. So I reckon Z2SV is about 2-3g lighter than G1.
  4. Tibhar Hybrid MK vs Tibhar Aurus Prime.

It honestly depends on how you play your backhand. If you prefer brushing, quick contact, and blocking, then G1 is a superior rubber. If you exercise strong forward motion, then MK is better--it greatly benefits from power investment and is among top dogs in countering. While it's...
  5. Tibhar Hybrid MK vs Tibhar Aurus Prime.

I only played Prime during several hours, it felt like a typical tensor rubber. MK is more like a soft hybrid with excellent grip, good control, and surprisingly heavy spin for its hardness (it's 48 on paper but feels softer). I would say it is a superior rubber in this comparison in almost...
  6. What song are u listening to now?

    Nothing tops this one xD
  7. Post your latest EJ purchase

These were my purchases in the last several months (except Z2 Hammond and Z2 Hammond SV). None of those disappointed me except Moon 12 medium, it was underperforming considering the praise on this forum. The other ones were excellent.
  8. Hammond Z2 Special or Omega 8 Euro/Pro for Acoustic Inner?

Just got my Hammond Z2 Special Version for backhand and... in my opinion, it's better in every way. In fact, it plays better on my FH and makes executing shots much easier. Unlike the regular Z2, the Z2 SV has a lower speed threshold but it activates very early and the spin is easier to produce...
  9. Best glue to assemble rubbers?

I have only used Revolution 3, 729, and Butterfly Free Chack. Revolution 3 was hands down the best among the three: holds the rubber well, dries fast, and is easy to remove. Haven't tried DHS 15, kinda curious how it is.
  10. Hammond Z2 Special or Omega 8 Euro/Pro for Acoustic Inner?

Good advice, imo C45 is a surprisingly spinny rubber and springy enough. In fact, I think it's the only one that makes sense in the C series.
  11. Impact of US Tariffs policies on equipment price

All manufacturers will bring their production to the U.S. and the prices will plummet.
  12. Short review of Glayzer 09c

I use Z2 on the forehand--52 degrees is a bit too hard for my backhand, at least on my level. And I keep switching between MX-P and Rasanter R45/C45 on the backhand. I would not recommend changing G1 unless you deliberately want to finish points via backhand. It's less powerful/spinny but more...
  13. Short review of Glayzer 09c

G09C was also my first step in 2023 to move from away the chinese rubbers and the need to boost, he-he :) Only to find out that I need to reboost European tensors/hybrids as well once they lose sponge liveliness or topsheet tackiness. Fair enough, only one layer of delicate boosting per 2-3...
  14. Short review of Glayzer 09c

Your experience is very close to what a regular MX-P user encounters. Interestingly, my disappointment in G09C was due to a different reason - losing tackiness after 2 months. My playstyle is about stable attacking via spin from mid-distance with moderate power, and the reduced tackiness...
  15. Spinny, medium soft rubber for bh recommendations?

imo, MK FX control is godlike and the speed is enough to finish shots after applying 1 or 2 layers of Falco. The only downside is the atrocious durability, yes--I can't recall a rubber whose top sheet would die this quickly :D Truly a competitor of K3 in that department.
  16. Hammond Z2 Special or Omega 8 Euro/Pro for Acoustic Inner?

G1 surely has more dwell and about the same amount of spin as Z2. The only downside of G1 for me is the lack of explosiveness, which is the main selling point of Z2 (at least the regular version).
  17. Hammond Z2 Special or Omega 8 Euro/Pro for Acoustic Inner?

Seems like the "short dwell time" is a common thing across the series, I was hoping that a significantly softer Special Version introduces extra dwell :( There's an upside to the short dwell, as the opponents usually don't expect the incoming spin (which Z2 still somehow produces) after the ball...
  18. Review Yinhe Moon 12 Blue

I noticed that his backhand has a much wider swing, the position of the racket is almost vertical (especially during blocks), and there is a lot of upward motion during topspins. I think Moon 12 (alongside other chinese rubbers) perfectly matches his technique and he gets what he needs out of...
  19. Review Yinhe Moon 12 Blue

True that. But if you're not a beginner and there's proper technique, it's probably better to go with a more powerful semi-tacky rubber :) I just don't see how Moon 12 fits people with a compact BH movement.
  20. Review Yinhe Moon 12 Blue

I am not expecting a €10 rubber to outperform €50 rubbers but I had decent expectations after reading this topic and several other reviews :) I was hoping for a BH rubber that could create some pace via a short stroke/brush to later utilize via forehand. But Moon 12 requires to engage the sponge...
