  1. Butterfly Zyre 03

Well, as a principle I never use 2nd hand rubbers even if I get them for free, so I don't think I'll ever try the Zyre...
  2. Butterfly Zyre 03

Having the money to buy it and actually buying it, are two separate things. For example, would you pay 10€ for a bottle of water, just because you can? I can afford to buy Zyre, that's not the issue. But I'll never do it. Firstly, I play recreationally and for my level there are countless ESN...
  3. Butterfly Zyre 03

I'm amazed by the number of veterans who are playing recreationally and are lining up to spend 90€ for a rubber. I guess that they are so competent and proficient, that they max out all other ESN rubbers and are looking for the one that can match their high level...
  4. Quadri Aruna losing to LP

If he really wanted to win, he would play his A game. Obviously, he tried to win by playing at 50% of his potential, but at the end of the day he didn't really care about the result. He just wanted to have fun and give an opportunity to the girl. It's very obvious from his reactions and his play.
  5. Quadri Aruna losing to LP

Please stop with this video already, it's the 4th time that it's being posted. It's pretty obvious that he is playing just for fun, not to win the match. He is playing passively many balls, that he could finish them with deadly attacks. Come on, everybody who watches tt can see that...
  6. faulty durometer ?

I've bought the same Durometer and have similar readings. Moreover, if you take measurements from the same sponge at different points (i.e try at the center, then at the various points at the edges) you will get completely different readings. Total waste of money...
  7. i dont think chinese rubbers do most people any favours

If you are talking about H3N then yes, I agree it needs boosting for sure since it's a 100% Chinese rubber. But If you are talking about Nittaku Hurricane Pro 3 Turbo which is a hybrid, then I don't see why it should need boosting since it has a Japanese sponge. It can be boosted of course, but...
  8. i dont think chinese rubbers do most people any favours

Interesting thread. I was completely against Chinese rubbers because they require constant boosting and full body swing in order to fully utilize their power, which most amateur players can't support. But just the other day, a friend of mine had a Nittaku Hurricane Pro 3 Turbo Blue on his FH. I...
  9. GLUE SHEETS...The Good, the Bad (and the Ugly?)

I tried a non-permanent spray glue for stationery, with an old blade that I'm no longer using and a pair of old rubbers: I sprayed two thin layers on the rubber and one on the blade. The upside: Spray glue is very easy to use, extremely quick drying, strong bond, rubbers very easily removed...
  10. GLUE SHEETS...The Good, the Bad (and the Ugly?)

Yes I know, but it's a very small sacrifice compared to all the hassles of water glue.
  11. GLUE SHEETS...The Good, the Bad (and the Ugly?)

I found the suggestions of chat gpt about possible gluing solutions, really interesting! I think I will definitely try a non permanent spray glue for paper crafts and maybe a more permanent one like 3M™ Super 77™ Multipurpose Spray Adhesive. Spray glue will definitely be much easier to use...
  12. GLUE SHEETS...The Good, the Bad (and the Ugly?)

Interesting. Next time you do it, maybe record the process in a video, so every step becomes clear. I have 1-2 questions about the procedure but let's not get into details for the time being.
  13. GLUE SHEETS...The Good, the Bad (and the Ugly?)

I'm not very sure that they indeed have it in stock. Even if they do with shipping costs it's not worth it, unless you order other stuff as well like rubbers. But thank you very much for the links!
  14. GLUE SHEETS...The Good, the Bad (and the Ugly?)

I have been using TT brand glue sheets for many years now. The only one that offers adequate adhesion with no problems is Tibhar Duo, that I can't find it anywhere. It's been out of stock for many months now, almost in every tt-store. Maybe it's been discontinued by Tibhar. I've tried almost...
  15. GLUE SHEETS...The Good, the Bad (and the Ugly?)

Reading the product description: "The double-sided covered transfer adhesive film with the same monster strong adhesive on both sides ensures a powerful bond between joining partners" Have you used it? I'm a bit worried about the "monster strong adhesion". If it's too powerful, then by trying...
  16. Thin glue for gluing OX rubbers

I've seen your post about gluefilms and I'm really interested. What brand are they and where do you buy them? Give me a link please.
  17. The Fascinating Science Behind Choking In Table Tennis

Why do we choke during an important match? What are the biological and mental mechanisms behind choking? What can we do to prevent choking? I found this video really informative and helpful.
  18. Setup Recommendations, for bh rubber, on tmxi pro

Has it been discontinued? It's been out of stock in tt-japan for months now
  19. Setup Recommendations, for bh rubber, on tmxi pro

Yesterday I had a training session with a friend of mine, who plays with TMXi Pro and has Andro Rasanter R42 on the backhand. I was amazed from this rubber: It lifts underspin balls real easy, it's exceptional at blocking and it's very light. Although on "paper" it's 42o, it doesn't feel soft at...
  20. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

My AHJ TMXi Pro is 1292Hz and AJH TMXi (normal version) is 1399Hz. Well, at first I had some reservations about the weight of the Pro (because it's very light indeed) but I decided to keep it. The reasons are that the bigger head means bigger rubbers size as well and the fact that I use glue...
