  1. Paris Olympic Games 2024

Did anyone catch why Harimoto got a yellow card?
  2. Ultra-thin sponge?

While 0.7 is very thin, long pimple with sponge thin even, its not uncommon for people, especially more experienced/older players, to play with 1.2 ~ 1.7 sponges, speaking of control and spin. I can see a use for it being a backside rubber for a traditional penhold player. Rubber is likely to...
  3. If Fan Zhendong wins Olympic gold, this can be a seminal moment not just for himself or for China, but also for Wang Hao.

I really hope FZD - Felix Lebrun semi-final will happen. If FZD can tame the French fans who will be giving it all for Felix, he is a very strong favourite in the final, for whoever he meets from the other side. We can only hope that Wang Hao's curse doesn't carry forward to FZD and they both...
  4. Paris Olympic Games 2024

Amazing match and incredible to see the emotions on both ends. I cannot begin to understand the emotion to having 2 match point for an Olympic semi-final, after being 0-3 down in games, and not taking the win. Old saying still holds strong, all point won don't matter if you lose the last one.
  5. Paris Olympic Games 2024

This made the Men's singles tournament very, very interesting. Haven't seen Truls play this well for a very long time, excellent time to bring out a performance like this.
  6. My experience with Chinese rubbers

Had another session, this time with the Dawei Saviga 77 Monster on the BH of the Fextra blade. Fine LP, but does not my cup of tea at this time. I think I might revisit this rubber when I have learned to control LP's a bit better. It creates a lot of trouble for the opponent, but half the time I...
  7. New version of Battle II. (NEO)

Saw this on AliExpress as well yesterday, bit of a weird product tbh. Seems like B2 BS with higher QC? Especially that its only available in 39 hardness is kinda weird. Nevertheless, if it preforms well it could be good, seeing the price it would be intersting to offset it to a B3 39 and aee...
  8. My experience with Chinese rubbers

Had my first session with my Sanwei Fextra 5 ST, glued a B3 39 to the FH and a Hallmark Tactics LP 1.2 to the BH. Got to get used to the grip, but that feels like an adaption phase. I also have to adapt my serve technique since there I notice the lesser speed of the blade most. It also has a...
  9. My experience with Chinese rubbers

So far I have not really given it a proper go in black on 39 hardness. Had a black 37, and a red 38 + 37, they were good over the table, but missed something when hitting a ball with more power. Hoping the 39 gives me that, will post when I have.
  10. My experience with Chinese rubbers

Small update again. I EJ'd again and ordered a Sanwei Fextra 5 ST, Yinhe Jupiter 3 39 (wanna give it another go), Yinhe 955 Blue 0.7 and some new scissors. Eager to try the Fextra 5, I was eyeing similar blades from name brands for my Christmas wishlist. Also eager to try it in ST, seemed to be...
  11. Sanwei Fextra 5, new blade?

My EJ bug bit again with AliExpress deals and just ordered this blade, hoping to gain a blade that suits playing an offensive LP BH with.
  12. Remove glue from cloth mousepad

Hi guys, Yesterday I made the error of glueing some tabletennis rubbers at my desk in my home office. On this desk I have large mousepad, which I covered with a hobbymat, but ofcourse I spilled glue right next to the hobbymat on the mousepad. Do you guys have any tips on removing the glue from...
  13. My experience with Chinese rubbers

Small update to my previous post. Yinhe Qing 0.5 is off again, hated it while playing. Tried to take it off in one piece to donate it, but it ripped like a piece of paper. Glued the Hallmark Tactics 1.2 to my BTY blade and did swap the Super Kim on the Treiber blade with the Dawei Saviga 77...
  14. Balsa Carbon blade with large/square handle

Bump on this, anyone who has some ideas for a blade that might fit?
  15. My experience with Chinese rubbers

Last weekend I played a local tournament which went very well. I can 100% confirm for myself that the LP experiment is a success. Other take-away was that I like the B3 39 but combined with my Andro Treiber FI the combination was too hard for my liking. So, I transferred the B3 39 to my BTY...
  16. SQST squared straight handle

Looks like what I would expect from looking at my FL version. Base of the handle looks identical to mine, where yours goes straight up and mine flares in. Seems like a good option then!
  17. SQST squared straight handle

I find that the flared handle of my Andro Treiber FI is very pleasantly squared. I can't imagine the ST handle not being squared!
  18. Friendship 729 battle 3

Yesterday I played with my Treiber FI setup with Battle 39 on FH and Yinhe Super Kim LP 1.1 on BH. First real test for me with this setup and playing LP competitively. Overal pleasant experience with this setup, still adjusting to LP but I already felt quite comfortable. As for the Battle 3...
  19. Balsa Carbon blade with large/square handle

Hi everyone, For a teammate of mine I am looking for blade options. He uses a Butterfly Balsa Carbo X5 currently and likes everything about it, except for the skinny handle. He recently tried my Andro Treiber FI and loved the bigger and more square handle on that blade. Do the Andro Kanter...
  20. My experience with Chinese rubbers

Updated my start post with my current "stock" in rubbers, donated some stuff to my club. Also I am currently enjoying the Treiber setup a lot at the moment, going forward with that and play a local tournament with it next weekend. Ordered a Hallmark Tactics LP 1.2 and am eyeing a Yinhe 955...
