  1. Best (simplest to use) editing software for table tennis matches?

Seriously, I'm very envious of your natural ability to easily pick up this computer software stuff.
  2. Best (simplest to use) editing software for table tennis matches?

Agreed. Betterplay.ai plus OpenShot is fine for us tt players. The combination is particularly useful for editing local league matches. Be aware that, basically, Betterplay.ai can't be used for matches recorded at tournaments. It gets confused by the audio from the pinging and ponging from all...
  3. Advice and thoughts on wet ball during rally

Either: 1. Treat each match as a learning experience and deal with it or 2. Don't play with him
  4. Butterfly Zyre 03

Their form hasn't changed. It's the rubber that has given them the advantage in their matches ;)
  5. Rumour new Butterfly flagship rubber

Come on Sir, be patient. When you think about Butterfly’s top rubbers, it's easy to overlook the intricate process that brings them to life. It all starts with the selection of the finest rubbers from virginal trees found only in the depths of the Malaysian jungle. Then the sponges are designed...
  6. Do you practice pushing?

For reference, view the Yoshimuro v Nie match. Conclusion: we all need to practise the long push.
  7. "This rubber is not correct!"

Umpires used to simply rub a ball across the surface if there were any suspicions. Big secret. Don't tell anyone.......it was mostly (98%) for show. That is, to demonstrate that were checking
  8. WTT Contender Lagos 2025 Jul 22-26

That first game was such a contrast to the rest of the match.
  9. Good brands/models of balls to buy on AliExpress

Other than manually spinning the ball, how does the factory check the balls for size and roundness? Do they pass the balls through a ring or tube or something else?
  10. Wrist/hand getting tighter after every forehand

Tense the core when playing the stroke. This is one of those situations where shadow practice is really useful. Timo Boll did a video on this a few years ago
  11. United States Smash 2025, Las Vegas, 7/3-13

You guys are not being fair to the rule makers. It is very difficult devising serve rules that are fit for purpose. It takes time. The first writing of the rule was only 120years (or so) ago. Definitely too short a period to get it right.
  12. SDC Handmade Blades

"using Reconstituted Oak wood" What is meant by reconstituted?
  13. All-wood blade, top layer hinoki, thickness over 6 mm.

Yasaka Masamune as used by Satoshi Aida. Beautiful feeling. However, the handling is a challenge because of it's non-standard shape dimensions. I use mine regularly in practice but never in competition. I am actually thinking of cutting back the width to more mirror the shape of my Darker...
  14. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

"It’s not the best TT I’ve ever played but today was my day with a bit of luck. Where I excelled today was mentally and tactically. I was also quite fit. Playing 26 competitive games total and not feeling tired" You've got to be joking! Winning all those 5 setters was a fantastic achievement...
  15. Stiga Marketing Policy

"On top of that, they continue to offer outdated models like the Allround Classic, Evolution, and even the Offensive Classic, which no longer suit the modern game." Outdated? That's a strong statement to make about the best selling blades (and their copies) ever sold and continue to be sold today.
  16. Let Detector

That's what I am describing as a "net" call by the umpire. It's the only time that the umpire says, "net". If the ball hits the net but does not land on the opponent's side of the table, the umpire simply calls the point for the receivor. The rest of the time he will call "let", "stop" or the...
  17. Let Detector

I think that the OP is talking about a ball hitting the net during the serve, which results in a "net" call by the umpire. A "let" call is something different.
