  1. Anybody like Bluestorm Z1 Turbo?

BTW, according to Donic's Facebook page, Kou Lei's racket is: His racket: Donic Original No.1 BlueGrip C2 (fh), Bluestorm Z1 Turbo (bh) Don't know if this is still up to date though.
  2. Good rubber for improving player

I think Vega and Rozena are both good choices. For a beginner like her, I don't think she would notice much of a difference between them. I would highly recommend Palio AK47 yellow for her. You can get it for around $10 or something, and its pretty much similar to Vega and Rozena.
  3. Anybody like Bluestorm Z1 Turbo?

If you want a Chinese type rubber, certainly J3 is a better match. J3 is tacky, but Z1 Turbo is not tacky. I'm not certain on the speed. I was mostly testing J3 on the forehand and testing the Z1T on backhand. Maybe they are ultimately somewhat similar in speed. J3 is extremely fast for a...

Can you upload a video of yourself making H3 unboosted sing? For me, I can play reasonably well with H3 unboosted, its not the end of the world by any means. But it just lacks the extra bit of impact and penetration and speed.
  5. Andro C53 or Tibhar K3

I didn't compare them directly, so it's not really fresh in my memory. But my impression is that K3 had slightly more catapult. I think hardness is similar.
  6. Andro C53 or Tibhar K3

A lot of people say there are differences between the ESN hybrid rubbers, and there probably are minor differences. But to me, just in my limited opinion, the differences are really quite minor. I've tried Bluegrip, K3, C53, Dragongrip, and I really wouldn't be able to tell which rubber is...

Be careful calling H3 slow on this forum. People will immediately pounce on you and say that you have bad technique and that H3 itself is not slow. For me, I am not Ma Long, and H3 unboosted is slow for me.

The NEO factory boosted Hurricane will not help. It's maybe 1% more bouncy than regular Hurricane, but you really can't feel any difference. I think you should use Bloom Power or Jupiter 3 or Apollo 5. All 3 are similar tackiness as Hurricane 3, but with a natural boosted effect. So they are...
  9. 729/Friendship Dragon F and Dragon L

Usually Chinese tacky rubbers are made with very hard sponges. This rubber has a medium sponge. Is their their attempt to clone the Bluegrip S1 type rubber?

I hope your coach doesn't get a kickback when you buy a Super ZJK. I find it unusual that your coach would recommend this blade. Although personally I would enjoy playing with this blade. To answer your question: 1) I think H3 blue sponge without booster will be quite slow, even on the Super...
  11. Outer ALC users, why do you like your blade?

I already answered your question. You can loop with anything. If you glue a rubber to a brick you could loop if you can generate enough acceleration and if you have the perfect technique. It's not a yes or no binary questions. You can loop with even the tiniest dwell time. But your margin of...
  12. Outer ALC users, why do you like your blade?

Ok. You are free to have your opinion. My opinion is that the blade style and feeling does affect your ability and particularly your confidence in looping. Otherwise, Pros would not even bother switching blades (ML switched from Viscaria to HL5). I'm not trying to change your opinion on this...
  13. Outer ALC users, why do you like your blade?

I already said what I think. I agree with Dima based on my own experience of using inner style blade. I like the extra dwell time, the extra confidence on loops, the extra feeling of holding the ball. I believe ML and WCQ chose the blade for the same reasons. YOU are the one charging others...
  14. Outer ALC users, why do you like your blade?

Well Dima did say that the reason he choses his inner-style blade is because he wants more dwell time. And he said that he got his idea from Ma Long. He said that in crucial moments in a game, he wants that extra confidence to go for his biggest shots. But since you are so enlightened, can you...
  15. Outer ALC users, why do you like your blade?

Um, obviously you can loop with even the stiffest blades. You can loop with Primorac Carbon even with little dwell time. But having dwell time gives more control and feel for the ball, which is why Ma Long and Wang Chuqin and others chose the HL5 archetype. But obviously not everybody chooses...
  16. Outer ALC users, why do you like your blade?

Actually I graduated at the literal top of my class and went to Ivy League school, so actually nobody was rolling their eyes at me. But clearly you were the guy looking for people to roll their eyes at. You clearly have self-esteem issues because you constantly look for ways to put others...
  17. Outer ALC users, why do you like your blade?

Totally agree! All the different equipment and styles is one of the things that makes TT so interesting and fun to play.
  18. Outer ALC users, why do you like your blade?

I can tell, you were that guy in high school who made fun of the kids who scored higher on the test for studying too hard, and made fun of the guys who scored lower on the test for not doing as well. You actually sound like you're still in high school to be honest. I'm just going to ask the...
  19. Basic advice on knowing spin from long pips?

2 of the guys I see use Tibhar Grass and Victas (maybe Curl?) What kind of friction are these rubbers? I also ordered a sheet of Yinhe Neptune just to help me practice against LP. What kind of friction is this?
  20. Kou Lei vs Ayano

That's interesting, when I watch Ayano play, I actually feel that the best aspect of her play is how consistently she returns serve. But sure, I get that there is a huge difference between 2300 and 2800. Just having a look at the USATT rankings, I see the highest ranked US-trained players are...
