  1. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

I tried 36-38, 38-41, 40-42, 42-44 variations of CJ8000. All lacked power away from the table, and were very slow for my BH (and my FH smashes were also too slow to kill the ball with them). For me, the harder the CJ, the better it was. The softest ones bottom out so easily. They also SUCKED on...
  2. Hurricane rubbers that are worth it without boosting

So you are basically saying it's punishing for improper technique. I like that. I find LAC and AK47 Red doing the same to me in the past week I've been using them, but I'm also interested in more similar rubbers. Hopefully this improves my form and not completely destroy my game. :p
  3. Hurricane rubbers that are worth it without boosting

I don't necessarily need the extra speed if I can trade it for spin. I doesn't seem too slow, at least for my current level. Would playing with brand new balls and leaving the dust on it work similarly?
  4. Hurricane rubbers that are worth it without boosting

I am curious about how H3 (both Neo and regular) play without boosting. Considering getting a sheet or two for testing on my FH, but I just can't bother with the whole boosting process. Are any of the H3 variations (including different hardnesses) viable for a FH without boosting, or is it just...
  5. Progress is very slow, and only 4 months before the next tournament

Looks to me like you are pressuring yourself by putting your rank first, and your improvement second. This is always going to get in your way until you begin seeing each match as something to learn from and improve upon, rather than that 680 number. When you do what you do, and lose, mentally...
  6. Finding the perfect rubber for your game

I chose beginner and was recommended these 3 rubbers. Haven't tried Dignics yet, but heard they are not beginner friendly. Also, you should take budget into account. Personally, I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on rubbers every year.
  7. Lost interest in WTT

I wouldn't call Ma Long charismatic at all. He seems like a shy introvert to me really. He is not a showman and you barely hear him during games. He comes to (try to) win, and that's it really, at least in my eyes. Even Fan Zhendong seems more charismatic to me. Wang Chuqin is quite a character...
  8. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Finally received my LAC. Ordered from BEO on AliExpress, received the orange package, H41. 74.5g uncut, 53.7g cut to size. This is way harder than anything I have previously used, but I'll start testing it at the club tomorrow and draw my conclusion after a few weeks.
  9. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Interested to see what you thing about the Bloom Power. I ordered it to try on my FH as well, in case I dislike LAC, after a couple of users recommended it. Just a word of caution, I could only find one shop on Ali (Global Sports Store) that sells that rubber (for $16) with the ITTF number on...
  10. China super league 2023

MALONG Fanmade Channel is currently streaming it on YT. No idea if there are more 'official' sources.
  11. Yinhe QC issues or unlucky sheet?

I know, it's very weird. To me it looks like the Moon Speen is calcified, and the BD is oxidized, but my cleaning routine hasn't changed. I've only used Palio rubbers before these two, but all of the sheets I've used still look mostly brand new, some of which I've been using and cleaning like...
  12. Yinhe QC issues or unlucky sheet?

The water is indeed harder than neutral, with a pH level of ~7.6, but I find it hard to believe such a small difference would destroy a rubber like that. I have been using the same tap water for over a year, and it's only these two rubbers that seem to suffer, with the Moon Speed becoming pretty...
  13. Yinhe QC issues or unlucky sheet?

Of course. I clean it with a wet sponge, wipe away the water, wait for it to fully dry, and then cover it with non-sticky protective sheets.
  14. Yinhe QC issues or unlucky sheet?

Behold, my Yinhe Moon Speed (soft) after 2 months of playing. It is basically a 70% antispin rubber now, with all the white areas having no grip whatsoever. Even when I only got it, the left side was slightly oxidized/worn, but still grippy. A month and a half later, it looks like this. Big...
  15. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Which glue did you use? Maybe using one that adheres better, but harder to remove would fit this better. Also, is your version the orange or green packaging? The one I ordered is from BEO so I assume I'll be getting the green. Hopefully it survives at least a couple of months.
  16. Should I give up using tensor on backhand?

How do you like it for looping backspin with the BH?
  17. Palio Energy 03 comparison with Allwood Blades?

I have used it as my first custom blade. I can only compare it to the wooden blades I have used, which are Yasaka Sweden Extra and Nittaku Violin. The Palio is noticeably slower than both of those blades, even though it is advertised as OFF. The carbon does offer a large sweet spot and it was...
  18. Suggestions for which AliExpress rubbers to test next

I could not find a Bloom Power with the ITTF logo on. Is it not ITTF approved?
  19. Suggestions for which AliExpress rubbers to test next

Summer break is coming, so no coaching in August unfortunately. However, this seems like a great time to test some new rubbers. Currently using Nittaku Violin with Big Dipper 39d on my FH which I really like, and Moon Speed soft on my BH which seems to be of poor quality -- oxidized to hell in...
