  1. Frustrated & Confused

Hey Gozo, People have already given solid advice, so I'll not repeat it. The only thing I'd say is that time is everything (especially when you have a coach teaching you properly, so we can rule out bad coaching). You probably want to be thinking in years, not weeks - Although this will...
  2. Rubbers regluing interval

This is a new one to me, and I'm not sure it's actually a good thing? When Speed Glue was banished, it was a good day! 😂 The hassle of glueing before every match or training sessions was such a nightmare! With modern rubbers and glue, I don't see any advantage in re-glueing for the sake of it...
  3. Rubbers regluing interval

You are re gluing the same rubbers to the same blade? Are you changing anything? Adding booster or changing rubbers?
  4. Rubbers regluing interval

Never. Once it’s close to dead (I usually leave 20-50% life in them), I just replace the rubber with a new one.
  5. Der_Echte's SDC Spartan XD

That looks stunning. This is the way......
  6. Table tennis club format

Would this be a club where there is no "local league"? How many people would you expect to come down? I would avoid "winner stays on" - It's not inclusive to the people who are improving. Assuming there is no local league (as my understanding is there isn't in most of the US), could you not...

I have too much weight on both legs ;)
  8. Which should I use for my BH and FH and why?

If you are sticking with those rubbers regardless, my instinct would be to use H3 NEO on the FH and T05 on the backhand. BUT...... As you have the blade and rubbers, you can try it for yourself, and see which way around you like it.
  9. Which should I use for my BH and FH and why?

That's an OK blade to use - But again, probably on the fast side for someone still developing. Can you do any sort of filming? Without it, it's almost impossible to make good recommendations because you might be much better than you think, or you could be much worse. The equipment you have is...
  10. Video Footage Safe Thread

Both Timo and Dima have more of a bent arm than I remember, but I've never really looked that closely! I think they both straighten it more than you can see on the videos, especially when going for more power. For what it's worth, I did a rubber review of some cheap Chinese thing a few years...
  11. Which should I use for my BH and FH and why?

It's really hard to say without seeing you. My first thought is that Tenergy 05 is going to harm your development in the long run. It's a very advanced rubber that doesn't allow for many mistakes at all. H3 NEO isn't as bad, and you could use this on your FH (if you are a FH dominant player)...
  12. Which should I use for my BH and FH and why?

What sort of level do you play at? Can you record a short video at all (or do you have any already?) Both rubbers you've got can be used to great effect on both FH and BH, so you are in a good position!
  13. Video Footage Safe Thread

Yeah that's better, but make sure you are starting lower. A lot of it will come from the knees/torso. 2 really good videos for you are: Timo (back in the day!) - And a more modern (right handed) approach:
  14. Butterfly blades - the whole truth!

Out of interest, why is it important to you, and what do you look for? It’s something I’ve never once considered in choosing a blade, and outside of these forums (probably the majority inside as well), I’d be surprised if many people were knowledgeable enough or good enough to notice any...
  15. Controlling EJ

To echo some other points, it very much depends what you are looking for. I think a lot of people simply get enjoyment from EJ’ing and a big part of their table tennis experience is buying and trying the new equipment, without as much of a desire to improve in the actual sport itself. If this...
  16. Video Footage Safe Thread

Pretty sure it was a bot. There were loads of pointless posts by them. There’s been a lot of them recently! @Dominikk85, do you usually play penhold? I have little to offer on the technique side of things. My only advice would be to film the clips in landscape if you can 😃
  17. Frictionless Anti players

Awesome! Just wanted to say it’s great to see your videos - Great camera angle and editing! I just thank God that you both attack, because watching anti spin vs long pips defensive match would be excruciatingly painful! 😂
  18. Advice for new rubbers

Personally, I don't think so. If it was just about speed/power, we'd see more of it already, or everyone using hard, outer carbon based blades. It surprises me that so many "inner carbon" blades are being used, which should (in theory), offer more control, whilst being a little slower.
  19. Advice for new rubbers

I bet switching to Dignics 09c on both sides didn't help either - Much slower than the previous rubbers he's been using.
  20. Advice for new rubbers

This is very true. To a degree. I'd probably argue that it's very accurate for a developing player/intermediate player who is learning the game. I say it to my son all the time. But there gets to a point where it no longer becomes quite as relevant. If you give FZD a Primorac ALL blade with...
