  1. Good forehand rubber

Butterfly and DHS use a different scale than the german based ESN, I merely converted everything to ESN scale. In Butterfly and DHS terms, T05 is 36, and hurricane is 39-41. So I suggested something in between, around 37-39, or 48-51 in ESN terms. If you can only get random hardness, hurricane...
  2. Good forehand rubber

you make a good point, that I sadly cannot agree with, as long as humidity exists.
  3. Good forehand rubber

you might need to accomodate to rubbers that are harder than T05 if you want to make high arc shots using your new blade. I recently gave advice to someone in a similar situation, who had a Schlager Carbon with T05fx and the arc was very low, so I recommended him harder rubbers, which fixed his...
  4. Higher or lower throw

low arc shots are not exclusive to low arc rubbers. With the right technique, you can make low arcs with high arc rubbers just as well as with low arc rubbers.
  5. something like TG2 BS

I know it's quite a stretch, but I've played quite a long time with TG2 neo, and found xiom vega DEF to be a suitable replacement (for not having to boost). Ofc it's quite different... but it does the control looping just as well with the option to go for more speed and power.
  6. How can a harder rubber be slower than a soft one?

exactly. not so many factors are actually important when choosing rubbers. Once you know your preferred hardness, throw angle and elasticity, you can lay back and shrug your shoulders over irrelevant discussions.
  7. How can a harder rubber be slower than a soft one?

the missing factor you are looking for is 'elasticity' hard without elasticity = slow hard with elasticity = fast
  8. How can a harder rubber be slower than a soft one?

Very nice of you to spend the time and post more data that backs up all the claims made in XIOM's description, so we can all refer to it now instead of obfuscating the obvious with superflous graphics and technical terms :)
  9. How can a harder rubber be slower than a soft one?

that study is nice to have, but it's overkill for explaining the obvious. As Xiom stated, harder rubbers can produce more quality, but need faster arm / more impact force to do so. And that's all one needs to know. Just as with jumping on a trampolin that has low tension vs one that has high...
  10. European / Japanese Rubber for spin-oriented play

Mantra M is great in a different way because it's japanese made. Other than that, thumbs up for G-1.
  11. How can a harder rubber be slower than a soft one?

XIOM knows what they are talking about. Here is a quote from XIOM's Europe website (read the part regarding sponge hardness: 4 simple steps to find the perfect VEGA rubber for you: The VEGA rubber is one of the most selling rubber in the world. Not only the outstanding...
  12. Nittaku Hurricane Pro 3 Turbo Blue

right, she couldn't even handle the 7 degree softer sponge, LOL!
  13. Nittaku Hurricane Pro 3 Turbo Blue

it is the hardest and heaviest rubber ever made and for pro players only. Mima Ito tried to play with it, but gave up and went back to fastarc G-1. Did you think you would become pro just by slapping in onto your blade? Funny...
  14. Help me with a decicion please!

Just get softer rubbers. 55 deg on BH is total insanity. Never go over 50 on BH.
  15. Skyline TG2 Provincial Blue Sponge

I keep coming back to tg2, the control just inspires confidence. Great for people with long arms :)
  16. Skyline TG2 Provincial Blue Sponge

Good to hear. My impression is that a harder sponge throws higher on thin brush loops and higher/longer on powerful shots, but lower for anything in between. Looking forward to further analysis :)
  17. Skyline TG2 Provincial Blue Sponge

Yeah, same here. I suspect maybe BS is worth it when you need the extra elasticity once you need more than 39 deg for counter looping hard shots. But that might already be pro level.
  18. Skyline TG2 Provincial Blue Sponge

Weird... I'm positive H3 BS has lower throw than any other H3 variant, so I wonder how it works in TG2's case. Anyways BS might be a bad idea for reboosting, so service life is even lower, which makes me even more afraid of possibly liking it. Sometimes there are national versions available for...
  19. Skyline TG2 Provincial Blue Sponge

Thanks for your observations. I noticed that h3 blue sponge provincial had lower throw than normal h3 and thus was afraid tg2 blue's throw would become lower as well, so I didn't want to try it. What in your opinion is currently the best version of tg2 / the best seller?
  20. Joola Rhyzer 48 and 42 degrees

I like rhyzer 48 on my BH. soft topsheet makes it easy to accelerate the ball and open up the rally, despite not being a soft rubber. the high throw is also nice. Overall it's almost as good as mercury 2 medium boosted.
