  1. Ammonia in water-based table tennis glues

That is true, but that's true of VOC glues as well though :)
  2. Physical Digital Scoreboard vs Tablet: Need Input on Best Setup for Events

A tablet seems like the most economic option, then you can just mirror that to a TV screen of any size.
  3. Best glue for easy removal from rubber

Are the blue or beige bottles the same? It mentions a 3-month shelve life, has that been an issue for you?
  4. Yinhe Pro 03 (Inner Koto blade)

    A nice looking design!
  5. Ammonia in water-based table tennis glues

Some of the popular water-based glues (eg DHS No15) have a distinct ammonia smell. I don't know if they use ammonia as some sort of preservative, or perhaps to lower the freezing point of the glue (most glues are ruined if they freeze), but clearly there is a reason for it. The ITTF effectively...
  6. Best glue for easy removal from rubber

I know some glues seem to contain ammonia, but isn't ammonia a VOC that could be picked up by a ENEZ sensor at official tournaments? I think DHS No15 has ammonia as well, so why is this not an issue, while other VOC glues are such a big issue? I'm not trying to discourage anyone from using any...
  7. Quick question

Yes I agree, boosters are oils and tend to last many years. As JJ Ng mention already, direct sunlight is likely the only thing that will degrade it.
  8. Donic Original True Carbon differences in production?

I remember talking to Avalox about variations in weight, and they told me that the Pros invariably select the heavier blades from a production run, making a higher proportion of the lighter version to the retail market, If there is like 10g difference between the blades, the difference is quite...
  9. Tibhar Hybrid MK PRO

Is this rubber the same (ESN) generation as Stiga DNA Dragon grip, Donic Bluestar, etc? I had to glue some sheets onto a blade for someone, and found that the feel of the rubber was quite unique. It felt slightly tacky, but the sheet felt really really floppy. Most sheets feel a little stiff...
  10. What glues do you recommend

Interesting, I've never heard of that one. Where is it available? I glue all my bats with Donic Vario glue. Easy to use and not too expensive, as I buy the 500ml refill bottles, and use those to fill 90ml bottles for use.
  11. What is the First Speed or the Second Speed?

This does make sense to me at all. Perhaps something is lost in translation here?
  12. Should ittf take additional measures to slow the game down?

I think the high speed and spin of our sport is what makes it so special and spectacular. On one hand they like to boast that it's one of the fastest sports in the world, and then they want to slow it down so that the spectators can see it better?
  13. Proposal for serve rule change in doubles

I quite like the idea, and I'm sure there would be a way to implement it, IF the ITTF was open to this. They would just have to add a few new rules to clarify what is and what isn't allowed.
  14. What's your favourite match?

I love to watches mathces when an attacker plays a defender, which often has amazing ralleys. Any matches with Joo Se Hyuk are my favourites.
  15. Lightweight rubber for backhand

Rakza 7 soft seems the logical choice, as it's most similar to regular Rakza 7 but with a softer (and thus lighter) sponge. A thinnner sponge will only make a very small difference, as most of the weight is in the topsheet (because it's much more dense than sponge).
  16. My feel and thoughts on the balls since 2013

Same here. All the clubs used Nittaku almost exclusively in the eighties/nineties because they were the best, but these days they use a variety of balls, the DHS the most common.
  17. Is this rubber too damaged to reglue?

I would certainly still use it, would be a waste not to. I doubt very much you'll notice any difference once it's glued back on.
  18. Found this no spin loop tutorial!

You're right, great video, he explains it really well! I'm going to going to practice that, is going to take some time i think!
  19. Loud rubbers recommendation

Yes, that one and Donic F3 Big Slam. I don't know of any Chinese rubbers that come close to how loud these rubbers are.
  20. New blade - Stiga Pure

I agree! A long description that actually says very little about the blade and it's characteristics or what makes it different from their other blades. Is the weight range really 80-95g? That would be huge. I do like the looks of the handle, but probably not enough to buy one :)
