  1. My feel and thoughts on the balls since 2013

I actually prefer the DHS balls (D40+) to the others, because they seem to spin better, which is something most important to my game. The Nittaku do feel more solid, and I do like that feel, but I just don't seem to get the same spin from these balls. The Double Fish ones feel rougher on the...
  2. How do you preserve tackiness in Hurricane 3?

If the rubber is only mildly tacky to start with, I always use adhesive protection sheets to maintain the tackiness. I like the Donic foils, but I'm sure there are many others that are good too. With Hurricane (commercial) it depends on how sticky it is to start with, as there is a lot of...
  3. New Butterfly rubber ratings

The spin rating refers to the amount of topspin you get from a loop. However the amount of spin you actually get depends a lot on technique. No doubt Butterfly's ratings are based on the amount of spin that a professional gets on their loops, which will be quite different to the amount of spin...
  4. Best glue for easy removal from rubber

Yes, that is KEY I think, if you change rubbers a lot, seal your blades well, and the rubber will come off easily with most glues that you use.
  5. Rubbers for children at school

It says "Max. 1 pcs/shopper", which I assume means 1 piece per shopper for USD0.99, does not matter how many they have in stock. I think USD0.99 is an introductory price, an incentive to buy more stuff. EDIT: I wonder if I'm seeing different info based on the fact that I've not used them before?
  6. Re-sealing a blade for each new sheet?

Funny I had exactly the same thought! That may well be where the idea came from.
  7. Rubbers for children at school

It says "Max. 1 pcs/shopper" under Quantity.
  8. Rubbers for children at school

Note though that you only get 1 sheet at that price, further sheets will be at their regular price, which is still very cheap, I agree.
  9. How many complete racket setups do you own?

I'd have at least 20 bats, but really only use one (plus a backup) for serious play. I made up a lot of bats just for trying stuff or for demo purposes, but I found that it's only on rare occasions people are interested... so it's all been a bit of waste and rubbers degrade over time, so I don't...
  10. Yasaka Anti Power/Nittaku Best Anti

Yes I agree, these antispin rubbers will work fine on a wide variety of blades. It's probably more important to match the blade to your non-anti rubber, which will have a much greater impact.
  11. Stiga Dna Dragon Grip 80 made by AI

Since it's an ESN rubber (made in Germany), I don't expect it to be much different to others of similar generation. 55deg is quite hard, so likely to be very heavy too.
  12. Everyone's setup is easier to play than mine

My thoughts exactly! What feels great in a quick hit up, might not work well in a game, where you find out the weaknesses.
  13. What butterfly blade should i get?

Everything is controllable at the right skill level. For beginners this combination is definitely too fast. Although it will feel great when you attack, you'll have very little control over your game.
  14. Anyone try Pongbot Nova S Pro?

I haven't tried that, but there's no reason you can't do this, as long as it has the speed that you need.
  15. Anyone try Pongbot Nova S Pro?

I'm testing this robot, I think it's a nice robot and very good value compared to similar ones. Speed and spin is indeed limited though, but perfecly suitable for beginner to intermediate club level players.
  16. Original or fake Yinhe 988? (Jpen)

Yinhe definitely makes jpen blades that can have rubbers on both sides. As others have said, it's very unlikely that someone will copy these blades as they're relatively cheap.
  17. “Sealing effects performance”…. Is there any proof?

I've noticed the top-end Butterfly blades are sealed much lighter than they were a year ago. They're clearly still sealed (you can easily tell when you apply the glue), but only very lightly. I don't know if this is intentional by Butterfly, or perhaps they're using a different product or...
  18. Sanding instead of Sealing

Sandpaper is usually only provided to sand sharp edges, not the main blade surface. The sandpaper used to sand down edges is usually much rougher than the fine sandpaper required for the blade surface, so make sure you've the right sandpaper if you're going to sand the blade surface. Perhaps...
  19. Antitop vs Natural Attacker. Lesson to be remembered.

What's the 'lesson to be remembered'?
  20. Question to all experts and EJ-players: Wooden blade with flared thick handle?

Tibhar Samsonov Pure Wood has a nice solid handle, and it's rated around ALL+. It's a beautiful blade too.
